BREAKING NEWS - NEW STRIKER / WINGER / FORWARD - ELIAS KACHUNGA!!!

2 years ago WBA had 2 strikers who both scored 20+ league goals, with 55 league goals between them, and didn't go up.

Last season their two top scorers both had 10, and they were promoted - goals throughout the team is probably more important than relying on a single good striker.

Similar at Leeds mate. It’s very much about attacking as a unit and goals coming from many different areas and players. I much prefer this approach to a lump at number 9, meaning we just hit it long or focus on putting crosses into the box. Total football from all angles is the future!

If Kachunga had signed for Toytown or the Dingles, people would have been falling over themselves laughing at them.

Saying If you sign a forward with 4 goals in 75 games, you get everything you deserve.

Now he has signed for us, he's going to turn into Roy of the Rovers, score loads and lead us to promotion, because he was part of a side that got promoted over 3 years ago.

Then the self appointed poster of happy thoughts accuses anybody that doesn't agree with the above, to be a narcissist, despite the fact that message boards are designed for people to post their views, and by dismissing those views, is only acting in a completely narcissistic manner themselves?

Rhodes has about 90 goals in 180 championship games when we signed him. How well did that work out?

Who's said he'll score loads and get us promoted?

Quick question - how many goals does he need to score for you (this coming season) to be a decent forward? If he passes that number can we blow raspberries at you and call you a silly sausage and a negative nancy 🙂

Let's do it anyway

Managed a few pages before skipping to the end, only to find more negativity and moaning. We've signed someone with pace in an area where we need it. If he comes in and scores goals or creates goals than that's brilliant. Nobody can predict whether he will or not. The way some of you are going off I honestly don't know why you bother supporting us. You need to go and support man City or summat cos they make loads of big name exciting signings that we can't.

Some of our fans need a reality check. We are not the big club some of our fans think we are. We are not entitled to players just because we are SWFC and players should be falling over themselves to sign. We cannot spend millions just because we are SWFC and expected to compete for players that are frankly out of our range.
We are a mid table championship team with a big ground and decent support. A club who haven’t been in the premier league for over 20 years

FFS, stop slagging players off before they have kicked a ball for us, it’s embarrassing.

rant over

Come on play the game -  how many must he score so we can have a good laugh?

Simple.

The rules are if a striker does not get 20 goals a season they are pants.

Factual statement or as some may say, fact.

Mid table? We are 12 points adrift at the bottom of the table.

Other than that you are right. We are lucky anyone wants to come here.

Underwhelming.... so far the clear out which was necessary yes but we are buying and bringing in players to make a good league 1 team. We didn't get relegated. So far so many players who could.... Could be good but could be squad fillers. Please those complaining  about negativity... complaining because  you want better is not negative. Clapping crap doest get results or better quality.

I really hope Monk turns this around with these players as some of the comments on here are embarrassing - some players don't work at one club and then do at another - lets give the lads a chance before writing them off.🤞

P.S. Can you leave owlstalk and get back to TWS on Facebook as I have left the group so don't have to read negativity any more 🤪

We've been crying out for pace for years. Absolutely everyone has known we needed some pace in the team so that's the main positive i'm taking from this. Build up the options we have to play the way the manager wants to play. Pacey players who play on the front foot. Is he a likely 20+ goals a season man? No. However he good help us create and score enough to get ourselves out of this hole.

I hope he's more of a bench option but he's another player who's proven he can be a threat at this level - like Brown.

More and more pace please.

Completely agree. And with Beattie coaching I can see him adding plenty of goals to a much more mobile attack.

Whinging and whining on a forum doesn't get you quality or better results either.
