Of the players still with us, only Iorfa can look back at this season woth their head held reasonably high. But for me, Fletcher carried us single handedly and it could easily be said he alone saved us from relegation with his goals pre Christmas. He often seemed like the only one who actually gave a damn or who had any sense of urgency. We dropped like a cannonball after his injury - just shows what a weak fart this team is to have crumbled so badly afterwards. Fans deserve so much better than the absolute dross we have served up this season since Christmas. Do you really think he was injured? Personally I think he didn’t want to get injured and therefore avoided playing, never mind not extending As shown by the fact that he mysteriously managed to ‘injure’ himself literally by walking on the pitch So yes, I really think this was the case. Bakewell Owl
the defence has been spread out like a mad woman's poo half of the time the midfield look like they were introduced to each other just before kick off the ones that should be up for this award have by and large proved to have little commitment to the club and can do one Murphy purely on post lock down form and he is probably in his car on the way back to Newcastle

tomassOwl84
Sums up Player of the Season , people discussing a 6 game or so purple patch and deeming it worthy of the award. None of them deserve it this year. We could have player of half a season or player of a few games since lockdowm. Maybe player who looked like they gave a throw. Hutchinson should have been in category 1. 22 goals conceded when on the pitch, 44 off it. You could say he caused trouble but no-one knows what went off. The facts are he was cast out and when losing Fletcher in the same time frame, the team fell apart. Confidence sapped as when the going got tough the rest had no one to look to apart from Bannan and the burden was far too great for him to carry alone. Lime Tree Heros
It should be awarded to the fans for their continued loyalty and commitment to the club in the face of a global pandemic when some died, became ill or lost their jobs - loyalty and commitment not shown by our millionaire players.

Holmowl
Fletcher was the most important player by far. His influence over the first half of the season was immense. Murphy was superb late season. From Leeds away. Iorfa was ok but can’t possibly give it to a defender in our abject defence. Bannan is the only midfielder worth a shout. Played almost every minute and decent though way below his best. Shout out for Harris. Effort and difficult to play against. Tough call - Bannan for me. Played a full season unlike Fletcher and Murphy. But what a rubbish season to choose from.

Gresh
Over the course of the full season probably Iorfa for me; with honourable mentions for Bannan and Murphy.
