Anyone missing this guy?

Recommended Posts

I really like him as a player.. but he can’t nail down a position at any club unfortunately, And managers seem to get fed of him. It’s a real shame because the lad has bags of talent.

On his day, when he’s playing with full confidence, he could easily play at the highest level imo

I think the reason some are reluctant to let him go would be because we should have been getting about 7m for him when he left here not, not actually renewing his contract and giving him away on a free. And they are caught in that notion that he could be worth that again.

But as said above it's about time the Gravy train dropped some people off.

Another one who has suffered badly through monks appointment. A good manager would have him as the focal point of the team. In years to come we will look back and say if only we had players like FF Westwood and Hutch. All players that would walk into our team of the decade. Going to give him a free because monk doesn’t know how to use him. And he will replace him with who? Some Spanish journeyman like the one he described as” the type of player we need” and whose name I cant even remember.

Monks style.... if he has one just doesn't suite him. Even when he's playing well Monk then reacts by moving him back out wide. There was one game when he managed to pull a goal back for us, playing up front. Then straight from the kick off Monk responds by bringing on Rhodes and shafting FF out on the wing to track back. :ghoulguy:.

You can see in the old Carlos clips his game is pass and move. Half the time he tries that but no one moves apart from Bannan. The rest haven't got a clue.

Just look at previous clips. FF, Wallace, Hooper, Bannan, Lee. Every one of them had the pass and move style which worked. Since then its been root one.... depressing how far we've dropped since.

Exactly right. Monk and Forestieri are both out of contract. There should only be one renewed and it is NOT Monk.

Forestieri is a special player who if used correctly and he can be kept fit can produce match winning moments and displays which we need.

According to the local press, Monk is on a one-year rolling deal. So you'll be delighted to learn that means his contract will NEVER expire.

True. But it makes it very cheap for Chansiri to sack him though.

Well let’s hope it happens before he gives all our best players away and signs a load of poo

Thats not how 'rolling' contracts work

It means he always has to pay him 12 months to get rid

I'm reluctant because I know we won't sign an adequate replacement. He hasn't really done the business the last few years for various reasons but he still has quality and is capable of it. We'll likely sign some workmanlike player to replace him who can play more games but doesn't have the ability. That's why its frustrating. Either way, I think he'll want to move on and try playing abroad assuming we don't offer him a big contract to stay (which we shouldn't do)

I often think Wednesday fans will never be happy til we've got a full team of Chris O'Gradys or Akpo Sodjes

When fans are critical of the likes of Forestieri it’s not because they prefer poo players and just because a player is good doesn’t give him the excuse to act like a fool and believe he’s too good to be here.

its just as embarrassing, if not more so, for Wednesdayites to forgive a player anything just because they’re decent when they decide to get their head down.

Fact of the matter is he’s done next to nothing since going on strike and forcing the club to give him more money after serving just one year of his first contract.
