Footballers to wear masks in training

Recommended Posts

Over here the NBA is looking at playing out the season at Disneyland - Lots of hotel space - but that Mickey Mouse guy has personal space issues... LOL

NHL wants to restart and play in 4 NHL cities... rumblings that players are not wanting to be isolated from the wife and kids for up to 3 months... and teams that are already eliminated from the playoffs are not overly interested in restarting the league to play about 12 meaningless games....

MLS are still playing this one day by day... we are 2 games into a 34 games plus playoffs season...  most MLS cities are banning crowds for the foreseeable future - Los Angeles (2021 at earliest), Toronto (late 2020) - here in Vancouver I am guessing that we will not be going to any MLS, CFL or NHL games for rest of this year....

Bottom Line:  IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY... NOTHING ELSE MATTERS...

Mask protect people from your germs for up to 4 hours the integrity of the mask is affected by fluid, so in this case if the player is sweating, breathing or taking on fluid in a game - that will mean the mask don't last as long.

Factoring getting to he ground, warm up, 90 minutes match, half time and the warm downs at the end. I give it one game before someone either catches it or passes the virus to someone else.

I bet they will also make all the players sign waivers that the clubs and the Premier league will not be liable if they catch or worse die from the virus.

Lets just scrap this season and start again in August when hopefully we are back to some level of normality.

Genuine question that the EPL may not have though of, will the ball be sanitised by the goal keeper each time he catches it, will it also be sanitise by any player that takes a throw in or corner, will the same happen when staff have to retrieve the ball if it goes out of bounds and when the referee brings the ball on.

Or will all players also have to wear protective gloves as Corona lives on surfaces.

Most of our attempts at goal end up with the ball in the crowd.

We’re all doomed.

If things are really that bad why are they contemplating a return to a contact sport.  Why do the Premier League think they are above this pandemic and is it an unnecessary use of testing resources that can be better used for key workers etc?

Football ceased being a true contact game 20 years ago.

The Premier league has been killing football for many years now.

They are not interested in player or fan safety because that doesn't boost the bank balance.

As long as that money is coming in they put they are not interested in the players at risk.

Cancel all football, until its safe sometime next season.

The desperation to restart the PL is getting more pathetic by the day, it's a joke and a very bad one at that.

Wish some ruling body would have the balls and say it's over, because restarting is just not an option.

With every press release from the Premier league , I am more am more and more certain, this gravy train is set to completely implod.  The sooner the better !

If the so called big six feck off the better. Playing behind closed doors, etc etc. shameful , not the game I fell in love with, Bring back real football for the normal people. Not a circus driven by world wide cash.

He premier league should have said that every  premier league club should donate one months salary to the pyramid to maintain the game. In truth the big clubs dont give a -----
