Said Benrahma is set to complete his £30million move to West Ham on Thursday with the Brentford winger crossing London for his medical.

The Algerian returned from international duty on Tuesday and was given leave from training by the Championship club this morning as he looks to wrap up the switch to the Hammers. The fee is believed to be £25mill upfront followed by £5mill in various add-on's.

Brentford raking in £50-60M from Watkins and Benrahma.

Think they're pushing £200M in player sales over the last 5+ years.

A couple of interesting points possibly related to us in Neil Harris' Cardiff press conference this morning, via Wales Online.

Regarding Paterson;

"I’ve seen us linked with a few players over the course of the last few days," Harris said, when quizzed on potential targets. "Some have some substance. Some are way off the mark." Speaking specifically on Woodrow, Harris added: "Cauley's a very good player at this level, but it’s very difficult at the moment to look at doing permanent deals. That’s why you’re not seeing any, and why the Paterson deal for example took so long to do. Permanent deals are so difficult for Championship clubs."

Regarding Sanderson;

"Dion’s been talked about before. He’s got himself into a position at Wolves where he’s really well thought of. He did well for us last year. If a deal was to happen to us or anyone else, it will probably be a last-minute call from Wolves."

Regarding Flint;

"I’m always conscious of players that haven’t appeared as much. Players want to play and Aden falls into that category. I like Aden Flint. First and foremost, he’s a great guy. He’s a huge professional and he’s a top Championship player... Of course he gets frustrated because he wants to play. His future’s with us, but he gets frustrated at not playing. I understand that, but if Aden or any player was to leave, we’d have to replace them."

 Scandalous that a player that's a had a few decent season's in the championship can be worth £30 M

It's crazy, how one or two decent seasons at this level, can make players become worth tens of millions. Even some lower league players move for a few million too. Prices and wages get more and more absurd. Whilst a lot of clubs outside the top flight are struggling to survive.

We could half do with selling some players with value, in order to reinvest into the team and bring more players in with resale value. Far better recruitment and longer term thinking after our failed play off campaigns, and we might not have been in such a mess on and off the pitch.

It seems like it will take years for us to progress and to catch up clubs, that for years have been nurturing talented players, selling them on and reinvesting in players with resale value.

What a surprise. He’s as clueless as we are about what happens at the club?

Do you really think he knows nothing of the transfer activity at the club? Genuine question not having a pop. It would be bizzare even by our standards if there was no communication between chair and manager.

Bannan might be getting on a bit but he's still got a good few years left in him at this level, he's consistently one of our best players and he rarely gets injured, unless we're offered silly money I don't want us to sell him.

Sheffield Wednesday are leading the chase to land Stoke City striker Lee Gregory before Friday’s EFL transfer deadline, TEAMtalk understands.

The 32-year-old is currently available for transfer, with Stoke happy to let the former Millwall man move on, despite him being involved for Michael O’Neill this season...

Garry Monk is eager to bolster his front-line and is now targeting Gregory but he does have rivals for the player’s signature. Middlesbrough are also understood to be taking a keen interest ahead of the transfer deadline.

Meanwhile, Boro and Wednesday are also in the hunt West Brom forward Kenneth Zohore.

Great. Effectively swapping Fletch for Gregory.

Yep, they've had a new ground built and paid for out of player sales.

We've spent an absolute fortune and don't own a ground.

Good god, a chase for him, I hope we've tied our socks together first.

Liverpool have reportedly rejected the Swans' loan offer for Harry Wilson.

With Jurgen Klopp willing to let the 23-year-old leave Anfield on loan, Swansea had been hopeful that Rhian Brewster's successful stint would sway the Reds' decision - but Liverpool apparently want a loan fee of around £1m and Swansea's initial approach is said to have been knocked back. Via: Wales Online

According to Nixon, Liverpool want full wages on top of the loan fee so deal closer to 3million.

It makes you wonder what the total cost would be for Zohore .

no no no no ******** no. Really would be scraping the barrel, such an uninspiring signing he would be. Going from Fletcher to Gregory, dear me.
