Sounds like Lees and Shaw definitely out for the weekend, others being given time, Iorfa and Palmer?

Wonder if this strengthens our resolve to bring in a first team ready replacement in Flint, considering we're now playing 2 game a week for the next month or so.

could be wrong but I thought I read Iorfa was going to be out for a month. Think it’s so important we get him and Brown back ASAP though. 2 very good players.

They might be better options but MILES better? You’re kidding yourself.

I’d even go as far as saying the day we signed Reach is when we started to go off the rails? Talented player on his day but Carlos had no idea how to use him and neither have most of his successors. Decent left peg but very pedestrian and lightweight player IMO?

Ok...much better...happy now?

A backwards step, with a wealthy investor, having had the penny drop about having a younger, talented team full of potential...is not an awful place to be.

You only have to look the teams who have been promoted in recent years from League 1, to realise this.

Leicester, Southampton, Brighton, Leeds, Norwich, Wolves, Sheffield United, Bournemouth....

A major reset is needed. The points deduction gives the players a reason not to be disheartened. Forget this season. Sell Bannan, Iorfa. Start building for next season in League 1 now.

Young, hungry players. Lets have a full team of them we can proud of.

You make it sound like a piece of cake. Remember that some of these clubs will go bust too. It’s VITAL that we stay up!

With 5 experienced central defenders on the books, and others who can play there we should have enough It does however throw up the question of why did we sign Dunkley when he might miss a quarter of the season

It's a fair point, didn't think he'd be out this long when we first signed him.

Presume Borner will take Lees place in the centre, but who goes on the right anyone's guess. Expect Uroghide has been preparing in case Palmer not fit?

It's not a back 3 that inspires me with confidence and given we can't score goals, a little concerned for the weekend.

Reach was fit and available while players like Hooper was playing golf , FF riding his bike , Abdi in the casino etc

Players who had absolutely no interest at all in earning their money or putting some effort in for our club.

Reach carried us the season Jos kept us up and has played all over the pitch. Yet you think he’s been the problem and not players who have had  millions of our and DC’s cash without any return at all.

Might be wrong but don't think we'll get much or if any more business done between now and before the window closes? Hoping we can make use of the loan market and bring in the extra quality we need but it looks like we'll be priced out by clubs that have sold players and/or receive parachute payments. We still need to replace Murphy's and Fletcher's threat and effectiveness. Ultimately we're paying the price for poor recruitment and mismanagement, ever since the failed play off campaigns. Hope to be surprised before the window closes and proven wrong in a positive way by Monk this season.

Newcastle United appear to be working to find a way to offload Rolando Aarons before  Friday’s deadline passes, with the Daily Mail reporting that the Magpies have held talks with Huddersfield Town over a potential move.

hope we don’t go in for him.

We do need someone who can do what Murphy did for us last season though

I’ve been saying that throughout this window.

Just as a matter of interest how long will it be before this is no longer Carlos’ fault? Are we coming up to three years since he left?

When we get the wage bill down to a More sustainable championship level and aren’t being punished by transfer umbongos and points deductions for financial irregularities to pay for said wages.

Liverpool have reportedly rejected the Swans' loan offer for Harry Wilson.

With Jurgen Klopp willing to let the 23-year-old leave Anfield on loan, Swansea had been hopeful that Rhian Brewster's successful stint would sway the Reds' decision - but Liverpool apparently want a loan fee of around £1m and Swansea's initial approach is said to have been knocked back. Said Benrahma is set to complete his £30million move to West Ham on Thursday with the Brentford winger crossing London for his medical.

The Algerian returned from international duty on Tuesday and was given leave from training by the Championship club this morning as he looks to wrap up the switch to the Hammers. The fee is believed to be £25mill upfront followed by £5mill in various add-on's.
