Ive said numerous times..He's a squad player....The flak he gets on here is totally unfair..

"The worst ever Wednesday player"...for instance...

total b llx.

He made one..he scored one today..and no...he doesn't do that every week....cos we are a Championship side that hoping for a play off place....not bloody Barcelona

He is always available...he doesn't mump..He will play 90 or 20 minutes...and in all honesty...We have no-one else is is fit enough...in form enough..injury free enough...phlegmatic enough..to play that role.

well played Adthe today....

Agreed. I've never slagged him, can never fault his attitude he makes the best of what he has.

Great attitude like you say, he plays for the team not himself. And his fitness record puts the rest of our strikers to shame.

Very handy squad player to have around. And is on pittance compared to the big earners, and once again never seems to complain about it.

He plays a part.  He isn't prolific, he isn't fast, he isn't amazing at anything.  But he's different.  And that on it's own can make him stand out in some games.  I'd honestly give him a contract for another 3 years.  He won't be on a fortune, he's clearly a big part of the squad off the pitch too.

3 years! Calm down.

So much more of a player when he comes on from the bench. Was brilliant today but when he starts games he doesn’t look anywhere near as good imo. Hope Monk realises this and doesn’t start him in the next game as strange as that sounds.

I agree to some extent but to fair to him he was superb at Boro when starting and also at Charlton. Seems to be more effective away from home.

The pass he played through for Murphy was sensational... any other more“fashionable player“ would be lauded in every quarter after that... but he’s a donkey with no skill

When he's on it...he is a nightmare to play against.

Comes on today, sets up the first one with a brilliant pass and then cooly slots away the winner.

Can't say fairer than that.

Not if you can't say your F's H's or T's.
