Anyone else think Carlos was consulted

He doesn't need to say anything.  It's cloying and a bit disingenuous.  Anything to keep his name out there.

Don't think Monk needed to twitter-welcome him to Swansea.

Bet you get irked easily

You see ex managers and players welcoming new appointments at their old club all the time

Hasn't carlos got something to do with Elev8?

No, I don't think so.

I believe that he is a part owner of a sports clothing company called 'Lacatoni' (Portugese company?)

IIRC they made some training gear for the Owls whilst DC was still looking for a company to

manufacture our gear.

Why is it that most Wednrsdayites believe EVERY word they see or read on IT sites , and insist on looking back The club has been a twopence-ha-penny club since the mid 199, and we won't face it. The nearest we came to 'glory' was when Carlos took us to the playoff final, and then, had we won that we would have been promoted as THIRD place

We have now got a new manager. Whether he was recommended by Carlos, or even Alex Ferguson is immaterial. He is now OUR manager, and as such, we must hope that he delivers what many Wednedayites wish for, but have never seen -Premiership football Even the much derided Barnsley have had a season there.

Bloody hell mate the Championship is littered with clubs who threw money at it, using many different managers in the process.

CC came with an inch of getting there many other managers who spent more failed by much more.

Least we had a couple of seasons of excitement much better than all crap we had to put up with since the Prem days.

he didn't get within any 'inch'.

he never showed up at wembley, and did worse against 'uddersfield the following season.

You appear to be a very angry person!

Also, it is hard to compare era's. Yes, he had a lot of money to spend...but then football costs a lot more nowadays

how many clubs spent beyond their P&S limit?

he spent all he could have, and the trophy cabinet had the same in it as the bank balance when he left.

an 'apparition' perhaps.

it was staggeringly shameful that a so called professional football club manager had no reply to only the first question posed him that day by bruce.

even more so over two legs the following year.

Just a pile of incoherent, rambling, nonsensical bitterness that has no link to the reality of the day.

He performed miracles to get us to Wembley in the first place but they were stronger in every dept before a ball was even kicked & it was only decided by a 30 yard worldy.

If you want to remember it in the terms you describe, fine, but don't inflict your views & try and infect others who see it in a more balanced realistic way.

"Staggeringly shameful"???    Seriously!!!

So we have a divine right to win just because you stamp your foot?

Although this thread is a complete over reaction to Carlos' tweet.

He put us in a dire financial position (after we had just got a good financial standing), didn't actually achieve anything and left us with an aging and unfit team which has lead to where we are now. Can't blame CC totally, DC let it happen.

Any manager who doesn't believe in fitness training without a ball in this league has no idea.

If we had someone of Bruce's ilk (and not a chancer like CC) at that time, with that money and positively around the club we would have been up.

Great opportunity and loads of cash wasted. May now hold us back for years to come. But yeah Carlos should be looked back upon very fondly.
