Final standings in place.  Top three go up, bottom three go down.  End season.

But there's games in hand, there's still plenty of time to turn form around etc.

I just don't get how you can do anything else than either finishing all the games before next season or cancelling it all. You're talking about multi-millions for clubs being lost by being relegated with only half of the season being played.

UEFA have basically said that we have to find a “sporting merit” way to determine European qualifiers.

That means some sort of league standing will be recognised.

I think the ship has sailed on Liverpool being declared champions (and United getting into Europe).

We've just got got to hope Leeds don’t go up.

Like most of us I dont want Leeds to go up ,but while ever Bielsa is there they will be in the top 2/3

In short ,if they stay down it means one promotion place less for the rest of us

Lol if they get rid of the drop then what’s the point in playing at all?

Be a load of exhibition matches.

If that is what they're thinking, then it is pretty clear the main concern is fulfilling broadcasting commitments rather than the integrity of the competition.

I’m not defending the FA and the PL, but UEFA have a gun to their head by threatening to withhold European places if they don’t complete the season. Weak leadership and greed all round... disgraceful, but not surprising

So no PSG in the champions league then next season, cant see it somehow especially when UEFA are looking to nominate the teams in the cups

Exactly.

No way will they not have any English or French or Dutch clubs in Europe.

They will change their rules accordingly when they need to.

Agreed mate. The sensible thing to do IMO would be to cancel European competitions next season but there’s too much money involved for that to happen. It’ll be a sham competition anyway since none (or very few) of the teams involved will be there on merit

At what point do you have to change everything so much that it's just not worth doing it?

At this rate they'll be playing the rest of the season out by playing head tennis!

Embarrassing - Amiens in the French league asking for 'justice' after being relegated for half a season's football. Asking for 22 teams in Liege 1 instead.

Is it not obvious that this isn't going to go ahead before September? That would then include no preseason etc. Contracts expire soon ffs.

The lengths they are going to just to protect the finances. Fans don't even come into the thinking..

- Players tested twice a week.

- Have to train in masks

- Must arrive in their own kit washed...

- No food on premises. Food must be delivered to players cars..

- Only specialist medical treatment allowed

- No team/tactical meetings

- No showering (not sure if they can go for a waz or a crap)

All for a game of football

The EFL said it needed 56 days to complete.  Player contracts end on 30 June, that's now 56 days away.  We aren't even close to figuring out HOW they can make it work never mind the contract issues.  Germany are still 2-3 weeks away from playing and they are miles ahead of us in terms of COVID response.

Just not bothered...

Shorter half's 😂😂😂😂

flipping hell.

Cos if they do go ahead hsving contact for 40 minutes instead of 45 will change the impact.

Who the fizz is running this? Is it Michael McIntyre chairing these meetings?
