Apparently we’ve approached him and he’s turned it down, story to break shortly.

As much as we all want hughton I’m sure he wants another crack at the premier league and deservedly so IMO

Im sure by November when the first premier league manager is sacked / on his way out, he will be in the frame

Chris Hughton snubs becoming next Sheffield Wednesday boss

Chris Hughton has turned down the chance to become the next Sheffield Wednesday boss.

Former Brighton boss Hughton is the odds-on favourite with the bookies to take over from Steve Bruce who is heading to Newcastle.

But Mirror Sport can reveal Hughton has already turned down an approach and is not in the running, believing it was not the right job or the right time.

Hughton has gained an outstanding reputation of getting clubs promoted into the Premier League and then being a first class manager having worked wonders at Brighton and Newcastle.

There will be no shortage after his departure from Brighton in the summer and he has admitted he wants a return to management but it will not be with Wednesday.

Hughton will wait till a prem job comes up, championship gig will be his last resort if not back in by Xmas

People should be assured though that Chansiri isn’t going obscure foreigner as many insist

Personally don’t think he can expect a premier league job. I’m still hopeful that we can land him and he’s the stand out candidate for Wednesday. He has a similar standing to Bruce - top end championship manager/very low end premier manager. However one looks after himself and the other fills himself with burgers and kebabs.
