Rhodes to go

Recommended Posts

First of a few out hopefully. We’re top heavy up front so need to get 2 possibly 3 out.

Then start with the rest of our bloated squad Pelupessy and Fox should be on that list.

Also get some of the younger ones out on loan. It’s 3 weeks away and we have no manager and lots of work to do.

Wouldn't loan him, I'd actually keep him.

I did think Bruce may just get the best out of him.

He needs a good run to get his confidence up to speed - possibly could still do it?

He looked pretty hungry on Saturday, could have had an hat trick.

There could be the problem, Rhodes of 6 years ago probably would have.

TBH think we need to keep rather than loan him out. If Norwich want him just pay 7m and he is theirs. Sure they can afford it now.

Local Jounos in Norfolk say it isn't happening.

Good.

I want Jordan Rhodes playing and scoring for Sheffield Wednesday..

I don't go for all this "the game has moved on" piffle.

Scoring Goals is still what is needed to win games.

Given the right service ,  Jordan Rhodes is the man to score those Goals......

Under Bruce we would have got crosses in and Rhodes would have had a field day.

Hopefully our new manager sees the value of this.

Based on recent statistics alone (which is after all the supposed major selling point for him), it's difficult to see what Rhodes has done to justify this ongoing faith for those with no shortage of excuses for him.

Current form (based largely on full seasons to spare me a much lengthier task of trying to compare the same number of games)...

Winnall         88+35 appearances, 45 goals at 3 clubs

Joao             69+71 appearances, 31 goals at 2 clubs

Nuhiu           59+87 appearances, 24 goals at 1 club

Rhodes        76+61 appearances, 23 goals at 4 clubs

I still think if Winnall gets a run here or somewhere else he will score goals, just hope some of them aren't against us.
