RELEGATION under Luhukay

Once FF and MM are back, as long as they stay fit, we won't be in any trouble. Their loss was massive to the way we had been playing, and the space it was creating for the likes of Reach.

Agree with this, hopefully there will either a 'Behind closed doors' game or an u23's game to give them some game time.

The other 3 'Frwd's' cannot hit a cows arse with a very large Banjo.

Having taken 1 point out of 15 between the two international breaks this is a time of real concern for those who care about Sheffield Wednesday.

That is relegation form writ large of course so any sensible business would be looking at its options.

Relegation under Luhukay would lead to a financial melt down.

Just imagine the drop off in our life blood, namely season ticket sales as we have such a small potg %.

Or we could be decisive by getting rid of Luhukay and bring in a proven Championship manager who has some clue about what he is doing.

Good job we had promotion form before the last 5 matches.  That was a time of real joy for those who care about Sheffield Wednesday and proof we had a championship manager who knows what he is doing.

its almost like little short bursts of form are a truly terrible driver of long term decision making isn’t it ?

The problem is the constant rotation policy of the manager. Never picks a settled side, the defence is changed every game it's no great surprise we are shipping so many goals. It's no wonder Tom Lees hasn't been at is best this season he has someone different next to him every week,  we need a settled defence not just a knee jerk reaction after every game from the manager. The teams that do really well are the teams that make very few changes and play a settled formation. Jos has got to go I'm afraid. League one beckons I'm afraid if he is left at the helm.

The man is suppose to be experienced......but IMO we were better off under Carlos.

on one hand we have a guy who wanted to and did play injured players and on the other a guy who won't / can't play fit players

both overseen by a chairman who by his own admission simply hasn't got a clue

Tbf, this decline started under Carlos and Jos, bar a few decent patches, has been unable to stop it.

Not really.....there is more to the picture than this.

You have to consider the likes of Westwood, Jones, Abdi, Hutchinson, Boyd etc who may not all be world beaters. But they would surely add strength to the first 11 or bench.

By Jos choosing not to pick them he is causing damage to his name, causing arguments amongst fans and chairman etc, causing the decline to be more severe.

Yes, there’s a lot of talk about knee jerk reactions from the fans, what about the knee jerk responses from Jos? To exclude so many experienced players, whom we are paying, and who could surely have been doing a job for him It’s all a bit confrontational I’m afraid

Bunch of bedwetters.

Mid table end of. First clean sheet will breed confidence. Injuries have killed us. We looked a threat when Matias came on. We’ve been without both FF and Matias for a month and without them we have no attacking threat. No wonder we’ve looked poor since. We were 6th when we had these two players available to us.

Jos isn’t brilliant, but the club has been hampered by bad injuries and shocking transfer recruitment. Will take years to sort out. We won’t go down ffs. That performance against Blades shows the spirit is there and on our day we have match winners who will keep us away from the drop.

Now is not the time to panic. The chairman’s next move should be to clear out the mess next summer and surround himself with people who have the clubs best interests at heart. But I’m not holding my breath.

I admire your faith, but a situation that you say, will take years to sort out, means that you surely cannot rule out the threat of relegation

A good summery of our situation.

Said something similar in another thread.

One of the basics in football seems to be having a settled formation and tactics. Then you bring players into that setup when available. That’s what most teams do, the trouble with Jos is he is changing the team every week and it’s not bringing improved performances.

Yes he’s dealt a rough hand with injuries but apparantly only 3 players are currently injured.

We’ve been in relegation form for at least 12 months. When you say it you get knocked down despite pointing out facts and stats.

Said it plenty this year. Get to 50 points as fast as possible. Kept saying this even when we were 6th. We look an awful side that doesn’t create chances. It seems we’ve gone from not being able to get in the opposition box very often to not even being able to get in the opposition half very often! It’s very concerning

Andy Hinchcliffe might be a d*ck sometimes, but he was right to say our performances this season have been poor and we are lucky not to be closer to relegation than we currently are.  A lot of points we’ve got this season have been in games where we were fortunate to get something, rather than deserved.

Theres only one way our league position is going under the current performances.

No we've not - has as been mentioned above, we've had top six form for a couple of 12-game periods and bottom six for two 6 game spells under Jos.

It's the inconsistency that has brought the extreme reaction from the fans in some respects. It is just that we are in a bad spell.

It's the changes to the team and senior player omissions that are worrying - if Jos can start picking results up again with the U23s, steady eddies, and the return of FF/Matias, then fine. If not, the experiment will have failed and change will be needed.
