Gutted Westwood is off, that's going to be a major blow with a defence as poor as ours .

I'm more gutted we're lining up with Joey and Hutch in midfield. Distinct lack of balance...

Hoping Bannan plays further forward and supports front 2

Looks like

                 Dawson

           JVA.   Lees. Pudil

Palmer.                               Reach

               Pessy.  Hutch

                    Bannan

              Nuhiu.        FF

Not bad tbh

Need to swap Lees and JvA, other than that, that's my guesstimate too

Can we focus on who is playing instead of who isn't please?

I hope it's Hutch at the back, pudil at lwb and reach ahead of the other two in midfield

Probable Hutch in the midfield but I think we'll struggle to create

Pudil won't play lwb he's said as much already.

Hutch and PP holding mid leaving Bannan to roam and create

If it's anything like the Villareal game Hutch will be playing in front of Pessy and Bannan.

Relying on Hutch, an injury-prone CB, as our creative outlet. Worrying.

I know Westwood is the main topic of conversation here, but for me the big positive is reach at lwb instead of fox . After the summer we've had let's at least celebrate that

Playing one of our best midfielders at left back shouldn’t be a positive - sign of the times

Seem to be rewinding back time

Chansiri really has f*cked this up along with Carlos.

No disrespect to some of the players in that team but we look worse off than we did in our first and second season

never addressed key issues and we are back to square one

Very disappointed he has dropped Joao and chosen a front 2 including FF.

Dont need Joey and Sam.

IMO the same mistake Carlos made on Day One at Preston. Too defensive, and we saw how that kicked our season off.

Delighted to be shown up to be an ass later today. And in fairness Jos has done wonders with a Nuhiu-Joao pairing do maybe he has seen something he can do with FF-Nuhiu. Here’s hoping.

Be just wonderful to get off to a 3 pointer then a very winnable home, where perhaps Jos will be more positive.

he's not there to create, hebthere because we want to play a high press. Not that I agree with playing Joey and Hutch- I'd just play one and have FF behind Joao and Nuhiu.

Pessy hutch.

Dont like it.

Far too defensive.

We don't really have any alternatives though do we? Lee is injured, Abdi may as well be a figment of the imagination, Jones is a poor version of the two defensive midfielders we've got in the starting line-up already and then you're down to the Academy squad. The wingbacks are a weakness, but for me this area is the biggest problem on the team. There is absolutely no depth worth a damn.
