What will the Chairman announce at the fans forum?

I hope he says he is going to spend willy nilly and get promoted then pay the fine out of his own pocket. Just for me. (Gowan, gowan, gowan Mr Chansiri)

Unfortunately even if he did want to go for broke the EFL could prevent us from being promoted with the change in rules this season........

What happens if clubs bust their ceiling for losses?

Any punishment for breach of the rules will be determined by an independent panel (the ‘Fair Play Panel’).

But what are the potential punishments?

Previously the Football League has only been able to either fine promoted clubs (a fine the Premier League didn’t help them collect), or impose a transfer embargo for historic overspending (which always like a stable-door/horse scenario).

With this change, a wide range of punishments are now available.

Nothing is off the table; the Football League are now able to impose a points deduction during the current season, or demote a club from an automatic promotion position into the play-offs (or out of the play-offs altogether).

Considering our history with things like being relegated the season before parachute payments started,  missing out on the £millions the premier league started to attract in TV monies soon after our relegation we'll likely be the first club automatically relegated for breaking P&S rules or docked enough points to mean we miss out on the playoffs at the end of the season!

Not seen anything about a points deduction/relegation as I mentioned above. Given the spending by some Championship clubs over the past two seasons - who have surely all broken P&S, or are on course to - I find those punishments hard to believe.

What is your reasoning for Mr Chansiri's lack of spending, given the current team won't win promotion?

Can’t be sure obviously but seems like we’re at or over the FFP and he understands that the punishments are worse than not spending this summer.

Not sure which clubs you think have broken FFP but haven’t been punished?

Forest are recently out of a transfer embargo and have purchased one player for £14m. The rest of their deals are undisclosed, but the likes of Lewis Grabban won't have been cheap. Looking at their signings just this season, they'll estimate they've spent close to £30m - similar than Wednesday have paid in fees combined in 3 seasons.

Leeds are spending plenty and are chasing strikers in the £10-15m bracket.

Derby, whilst they have sold a few players, have been spending big cash for as long as I remember.

Wolves last season alone - spent more than Wednesday have in 3 seasons. Not forgetting their spending the season before when they flopped too.

So in this world that we currently operate in, us NOT having a transfer embargo will be something to celebrate.

An embargo would of course be bad news, although it would stop us throwing away wedges of money like we have in the past.

But if there is no bad news it shouldn’t be seen as good news, it should be seen as the norm.

Chairman will announce his disappointment with the fans not willing to pay £90 for membership the same way we wouldn't loan the club 3 years worth of season ticket money last season.

He will also announce that if we don't buy the home and away shirt by end of next week the price is going up to £80.

DC never miss a chance to milk the fans some more. lol

On a side note he won't be investing any money because of FFP his usual excuse.

Not seen this anywhere, no. The EFL have set the precedent now for P&S punishment - they can't fine/embargo some clubs and points deduct/relegate others for lesser crimes!

Also, with some of the spending by Championship clubs in the past two seasons, I'd call nonsense on those punishments too. Forest, for starters, would be relegated already given their spending so far this season (and Wolves would have been relegated last season!).

Forest have sold players recently. It seems in short term they are fine.

Our problem is we have already sailed close to the limit and may already be on a warning. Our chance to splash the cash has gone.

I's expect something on the lines of..

We gave it a go and through bad luck it didn't work out.  Now we have to be patient and get behind the players, managers, and the club; he is looking to re-structure the finances to put the club back on a level footing. This may take time, but the club is in a much better position now than it was when he took over.   People are working very hard behind the scenes to generate more income for the club.

On and off the pitch, the club has seen improvements and this cannot be ignored.  The Championship is a very hard league with lots of big clubs with lots of money, and the parachute payments provide an extra advantage to the teams relegated from the premier league.

We currently have a good squad and he hopes the manager, with less injuries,we still can be competitive this year.

The transfer of Jordan Rhodes didn't work out as expected and it was a gamble that didn't pay off; now we have to manage the situation the bet way we can.

Thanks the fans for all their support, and the continued support is needed more than ever through this transitional period.  Comments about being a family club and we need to remind as one and together as a club and pull in the right direction.  Its important for the club for fans to turn up in numbers and support the team on the pitch.

It's going to be interesting to see what Mr Chansiri is going to say this time at the fans forum.

Think the last one was early January wasn't it? Can anyone remember what was said there?

What do you think he'll announce this time?

Overview of finances?
Explanation of the situation re FFP / P&S?

Player signings?
Membership price being revised to £40 after feedback from fans?

Probably announce that we're 9 million over FFP as heard of earlier.
