Yep banning players who don’t sign contracts, will have new players lining up to move to us.

Ridiculously short sighted move from chansiri.

Hopefully when he leaves, the tribunal will take this into account and greatly reduce the fee we get for him.

Or you could see it as treating the loyal well and sacking off the rest.

He has been more than ready give generous new deals to players in the first team when required.

Yes our youth system has been pointless in recent history

But i bet all the players that have come through the pigs system were not given whopping contracts after a couple of decent games or because they had scored a few in the youth team.

They will have had a decent system in place covering both them and player, clauses, bonuses etc etc. from the earliest opportunity.

The club wouldn't get fleeced by money grabbing young players and the players would be happy in the knowledge that if they progressed they would be be rewarded with an increase or not blocked should a move come available. Happy on both sides.

Like on most things - we are miles behind

Yes I also bet that once the players had shown improvement they were given long than season to season contracts so when one player did improve and make the step up they were still under contract.

If that player decided not to stay then the club could still sell them and make money on them, unlike us of course who don't value youth offering 1 year deals and when a player comes good we don't let him play, don't sell him and instead send him home like a naughty school boy.

Very frustrating that talented youth players may see their futures elsewhere.

The grass is rarely greener on the otherside. Get signed you daft boys.

I remember being annoyed when Bolton took Hayden White from us in 2013 after he turned down a Wednesday contract. Look where he is now;

George Hirst not allowed to play at all for the club until only last month and even then only for the U23s.

I'm still utterly disgusted at Chansiri for this. And then he talks about us being a family!

Hang on why play a player holding us for ransom when we can play someone else and let them shine look at this borukov lad he wouldn’t be who he is if hirst was still here. Living under hirst shadow. He’s taking his chances without hirst and looking exciting like

hirst has.

Personally I’ve started to think either it’s coincidence or is the only thing that made hirst so good scoring goals etc and now borukov now he’s getting a chance good is it the supply they get???

So we have two player who wont sign a contract, why would we play these in preference to those who have signed a contract. Lets get real, they still have a chance to sign, no one will know what they have been offered. Like others have said, other young players coming through and with Jos in charge they may have a chance to play, if Carlos was here Clare wouldn't have played. He has only played a few games and it was a breath of fresh air but how long could have he kept up the good performances. Must say though Clare was a lot better than Butterfield, as for Hirst we will never know whether he would be a great player

Amazing ain’t it. Before Christmas Sean Clare was a nobody, a couple of good games and he thinks he’s the one who can demand daft money

I'm sure you don't know what he's demanding, but you will ofcourse know that he was really well thought of whilst on loan at Gillingham.

It's well assumed and rumoured how our youth players were seemingly ignored by CC. And we have no way of knowing how closely the club were following Sean under the previous regime.

So maybe Sean was already making plans to move away from SWFC,  and you could view it that giving him a couple of games in the first team, whilst it was down to the bare bones, was too little too late from the club from his perspective.

Maybe he's just keeping his options open. Mybe we should all see how it pans out, then offer our ill informed opinions?

Tell you what pal. I have 15 minutes to kill so Im all ears. Are you ITK so please share with what you have just stated.  Why is this all Chansiris fault. Im not saying it is or it isn't but you obviously know.

If they don't want to play here then so be it. No point crying over spilt milk.

Too much focus is being paid to those who don't sign rather than those who have. Hirst and Clare haven't but Thorniley, Kirby, Stobbs to name a few have. And judging by the youth teams record, I'm sure plenty more will follow

Why wouldn't you want to keep 2 home grown rising stars ?

Everything on here is pure speculation, some blaming the players, some DC, some Doyen, even fathers etc. No one on here actually knows.

IMO we should be building for the future and these are the type of players who should feature in that build, not old journeymen.

If they decide to move on, then so be it but I hope whatever or whoever the issue is, it gets sorted and they sign.

You've actually no way of knowing that's true whatsoever.

Interesting that of those in the U23s that we've offered contracts to, only Hirst and Clare haven't signed yet - and as it so happens, Hirst was actually prevented by Chansiri from playing, and Clare was strongly rumoured to have been for a couple of weeks in January too.

George Hirst was never going to sign for us.  His father had no intention of it . From the man himself in front of witnesses.

Absolutely disgusting how Chansiri has dealt with all this.

Freezing players out for not signing a contract, then making exceptions for some players but not others, preventing them from training at certain times - these players are supposed to commit their futures to someone who acts like that?

We've finally started producing some cracking young players and we start driving them out the door.

Both these lads have been offered contracts , as have other youngsters who have signed.

The contracts are there to be signed. I can only assume they won't sign because they consider them unattractive. This brings up two points -

1. Is it more than first team players are getting?

2. Is it less than first team players are getting?

If the first, then they obviously do not want to stay, and , if so, should NOT be considered for selection.

If the second, is this because the club do not consider them ready for regular first team selection. Don't forget, both these players have yet to prove themselves at first team level., and as such, to pay them even FT rates is a gamble by the club.

And making Doyen the scapegoat is a little naive. A  similar situation exists at Derby with other other Agents.

In a nutshell.

What makes it even worse is the fact that Chansiri has clearly not learnt a thing about the utter stupidity of his approach.
