Quist Posted December 2, 2017 Share Posted December 2, 2017 It does not matter who plays balance of squad is wrong. In addition tactics are inept and team ill prepared for matches. Fitness and preparation is lacking and look to have had team talk to motivate them at start from a trappist monk. If a new manager can get him fit (along with the rest of this squad) and use him properly we’ll start to see what he can do. But we are way off that at the moment.. We need a fully fit Kieran Lee, Sam Hutchinson and Fernando Forestieri for midfield, not some pipe dream hope in a player that did well for Watford 2-3 years ago. RUMBELOWS91 Posted December 2, 2017 Share Posted December 2, 2017 I'd hazard a guess our best results this season have come with David Jones in the side- love him or hate him, at least he knows his role and Bannan is able to push on a bit more with him in the side. Had a mare first half against Sheff U and been out the picture since. Yes he didn't play well but he was doing alright prior to that game for us. Results have been poorer without him. jamiejohn Posted December 3, 2017 Share Posted December 3, 2017 The list of players with great CVs who practically disappear after joining is worrying and abdi is top of the list for me.here is a player who has excelled at this level and been decent at the next level yet he never figures and as far as we know is currently fit, so why isn't someone who could make a huge difference given a run a real run in a struggling midfield? When Jones has played in a two-man central midfield this season we are unbeaten. When he has played in a 3-man central midfield, with Bannan or Lee wide, we have lost two (United and Bolton).
