What complete and utter rubbish.

The opposition score after less than 2 minutes and that's a tactical failure? Mistake tackle, mistake setting up for the free kick.

You're one nil down and your game plan has gone and it's a severe body blow to the players.

Another goal due to players mistake 10 minutes later. Another mistake, not failing tactics. 2-0 and everything is in tatters. Game plan, confidence, morale.

Second half the change made us look like a decent team and produced a goal. No tactical failing there.

We concede again within a minute or two. Was that failing tactics or lack of concentration and another mistake by the players?

Another big body blow. Could any tactics recover from this?

Another player(s) error for the fourth.

The players let Carlos down and let us down.

Other than at school never played football but watched my mates team go through a season unbeaten iirc they only dropped 2 points by drawing a game. When on the odd occasion they did conceded a goal first thing the captain did was get the team mainly the defenders  together and tell them to focus. Made sense to me

So without the benefit of hindsight what would your team have been for Sunday?

I would have played our beast of a midfielder and at least one of our pacy wingers

Jones added absolutely nothing in that first half offensively or defensively. I'm  also pretty sure having Jones on the pitch would have had zero baring on the 3rd and 4th goals both defensive errors.

maybe not but we completely emptied the midfield with that sub.

But a change was needed and Jones was poor.

I've always really liked Carlos, but I thought it would have been best for him to leave at the end of last season. He would have gone leaving good memories in the majority and kept his dignity in tact.

I can understand how some people want to see this as a positive display of passion, but to me it has all the hallmarks of a manager who is unraveling.

Honestly don't see why people are getting at Giddings. It needed someone to ask these questions to Carlos. It's the first time for ages I've seen Radio Sheffield really get some good answers out of a manager. Fair play, it's shown us a lot about Carlos and even given people hope he's the right guy.

You are right about the questions being asked but not sure about the answers.

Well if you've never posted the players deserve blame but always moan about the manager, it's pretty obvious mate.

The whole team was awful on Sunday especially first half, but it’s not just a one off though is it.

everyone makes mistakes players/managers but when we are constantly playing catch up in nearly every game it becomes more of a problem than a mistake.

until we first of all admit we have a problem (which this press conference doesn’t do, Carlos just gets angry someone has asked the question) we can’t address it.

Couldn’t give a throw what he’d say...nothing he could have said would’ve made a difference or satisfied his detractors.

I did want to see that he cared though.

We’ll all have our own opinion about that interview

i liked the fact that he lost some control and looked shaken..

So a point of view shouldn't be challenged because it's old? What ridiculous logic.

Its the gaffer's remit to put out a tactically sound, cohesive unit.

He can't just throw up his hands and absolve himself of any blame.

The players' performances are down to his man management, training and preparations.
