Birmingham expected him to be one of their best players and I think other teams just doubled up on him and marked him out of games when he was the main threat. They can't do that with us, when they've got Foristieri, Abdi, Fletcher and Hooper to keep tabs on. Could be a great bit of business on loan. Will obviously be familiar with Fletcher while at Sunderland. At 26 he's still at a good age. Would give us something we don't have - a proven championship level, direct winger.
