Guest Ash76
Is Gray actually gonna go or is this pure speculation if he is to go would keep him on at some level think he is a excellent coach but not a manager Again just rubbish other people do, Gray hasn't had the title manager but has managed all sorts in his time here. Agree with Modboy, there are poor managers, excellent managers and everyone in between is going to have some successes and failures. Gray continues to show signs of success so stick until that changes
pussface
Yes the style of football wasn't great, but you can only make the most of what you've got! laws tried to be gung ho with a crap team (post Brunt) and look where it got us! More quality in midfield and the flanks gives Gray more options to to be more expansive.

mogbad
Is Gray actually gonna go or is this pure speculation if he is to go would keep him on at some level think he is a excellent coach but not a manager When you read comments from players about how they enjoy training & working with SG it would suggest he's an excellent man manager. Home performances & tactics last season would suggest he's not a great coach though you'd also need to allow for resources & quality of player at his disposal. theowlsman
@reluctantnicko: @Craig_Foster21 A foreign coach has been contacted by an agent claiming to be working for Sheff Wed. If correct......... New state of the art pitch New state of the art scoreboard New Head Coach, rated highly in Europe Significant player recruitment to follow And a summer of match fishing that promises much (especially in the North and Midlands)

Jeffjohnsonmyhero
Stuart Gray is a very good coach ,But lets look at at it this way ,You are the owner you have just spent £40 million on the pitch ,Buying the club,And the scoreboard. You want premier football you have lots of funds Available do you put your trust in a man that has never won anything .I for one like Gray but cant see him being in charge. The Night-Owl
My guess is that it sounds like it could be Michael Laudrup or Gianfranco Zola. Both are well respected legendary European former players with the necessary contacts, both are well known and both have been linked with lots of jobs over the years. The Night-Owl
If you notice, there are plenty of decent managers/coaches currently available. When Gray took over as caretaker, there was no-one decent available the only names being banded about around the time were the likes of Ince; Pearce, Holloway, Warnock and Evans. It's understandable along with the fact Gray was a cheap option why he was given the chance in the first place and he earned the job and had to be given it. But if you think back to what was available then and compare it with who is available now, then there's a considerable higher standard of coaches currently available. If Chansiri is as ambitious and serious about promotion as he sounds, then he would be foolish to not consider bringing in someone better who can accelerate his ambition into reality. mogbad
It will probably be someone we've never heard of. My money is on it being bullkak & SG will be head coach at the start of the season. Whether he'll be there at the end of the season is another matter.
