Feel for Hutch

Recommended Posts

Some of the comments on here are totally out of order

Hutch is a quality player on his day, and he obviously likes our club, otherwise he wouldn't have signed and gone elsewhere

We all knew about his injury problems, and we are all aware that he has retired previously at 21, and he has also come out and said that every game he plays he treats it as potentially his last one...

The lad is obviously heartbroken and maybe he has a feeling that his time is up... Imagine if he logged on here and heard some of the moronic comments? Waste of money? Bad signing?

Give the lad a break

Hopefully tears of frustration rather than dread

It must be incredibly difficult for the guy to keep on trying to resurrect his career and keep on being pulled up short

Fair play to him - i really want him to succeed because he wants it so much

Pity not all young players have his resolve and determination

This is the worst thing about it

There are some bone idle players out there (Bothroyd), strolling around on a Saturday, probably not working hard at training, collecting their pay check and going home with no feelings at all about their performance/club

Then you look at Hutch, there is no doubt that all he wants to do is play football, works hard on Saturdays and no doubt works hard at training. Probably does his won thing as well away from the training ground. Putting so much effort in and keeps getting setbacks... really do feel for the lad

Have any of the injuries since he's been here actually been the dodgy knee?

I don't think he been struggling with his back since the Millwall game in all honesty, it was his knee yesterday, I think the writings on the wall for the lad, although I really hope not.

Not as of yet, no.

He's had to sit out the odd Tuesday night feeling the strain of it.

But he's never had a lengthy lay off due to it...*touch wood*

Chris Cohen at Forest has had 3 ACL's in the past 3 season, causing him to miss close to 20 months of football.

They're standing by him. Why shouldn't we back Hutchinson?

Because they have a huge squad and can afford to spunk 8m on one player?

Complete waste of a wage, was always going to be.

Hope there is a clause in his contract that allows us to get rid early.

We have a tiny squad, we can't afford to carry Raggydoll rejects on our budget.

Log off. And **** off.

Well he's not a smart signing or money well spent is he?

As has been said before, it's nothing against the lad and it's not his fault he's got these injury problems, everybody without exception recognises his obvious ability, but he's a genuinely bad signing for a club that lacks both quality and depth within the squad, because he doesn't, and never will play matches on a regular basis.

Unfortunately with the lack of ability we have in reserve we simply can't afford to carry that.

Sometimes you just have to gamble though, when you put a quid on the euro millions you may aswell be throwing it in the bin, but people still do it because the implied odds are insane.

Hutch was a huge gamble based on his injury history, but given the fact that IF he managed to stay fit we'd have one of the best players in the league for basically nothing, some would argue it'd have been stupid not to sign him.

There was no risk when we had him on loan because he wasn't our player.

We've taken a punt and it hasn't worked out...yet.

Let's not get on his back though because he's probably in the top 3 at our club with the desire and will to win. Nobody on here knows what his contract is and what clauses are in it so to suggest they do is ludicrous.

I think Hutchinson will come back from this and will be stronger than ever.

Success is only achieved after overcoming countless failure after failure.

Yep. Just look at Sheffield United. If they didn't have failure after failure there's no way they'd be where they are today.
