GK 4

Westwood, -two of Kean Wildsmith/Dawson should go on loan.

DF 6

Palmer, Hunt, Loovens, Lees, Fox, Pudil

MF 9

Melo, Mcgugan potentially moved on.

Matias, Wallace, Jones, Bannan, Abdi, Hutchinson, Lee,

Fwd 7

Joao, Nuhiu potentially moved

FF, Hooper, Fletcher, Winnall, Rhodes

Thats 26 by my count. Potentially reduced to 20 if we moved on players who aren't involved (unlikely for some).

Is the squad really that big? The u23s won't be on big wages.

I think the issue is more that we have spent big on players who do the same thing, have the same attributes as their counterpart which makes it seem bigger.

If we sign 4/5 that has us around 30 ish before sales/departures.

Thats just the pros with squad numbers. To make it up to Alan Biggs 46 there were the likes of Lachman, Dielna, Melo, Kean, Clare and Penney on loan, dead wood like McGugan and some other young pros without squad numbers like Percival, Hayford, Kirby, Preston, Lonchar, Baker, Lee, Clarke and Williams.  U 18s not included.

All the best Jose - great professional and was absolutely immense for us in the Mind The Gap season.

Good riddance to the others.

Unfair on sasso. Did a good job when required

Why good riddance?  For whatever reason it didn't work out for them, I never saw any of them not give their all when called upon.  Might not have been up to the standard required, but that's football.  I hope they all get to progress their careers and good luck to them.

I'm happy with the list. We can't keep carrying Semedo, we need to move forward. He's been a fanstastic servant for the club and I hope he returns in a coaching role. He could easily rack up 40 apps for a low end Champ/League one club. Win/win for both parties!

And hey,

You'll never get past SEMEDO!

just guess works on salary salary but that's about 80k a week off the wage bill.

lol

Semedo isn't anywhere near that, nor is urby, sasso or sougou.

It won't free up huge amounts of wages, but enough for two very good signings.

Good luck to Semedo, great character but good for both parties he finds a new club. Sasso was underrated, I assume that means we have a top class player incoming at centre back, to compete with Lees and loovens.
