2 Wins in 10 League Games

Recommended Posts

It’s not just the results, which granted are poor, it’s the performances, the constant tinkering, changing winning teams, playing people out of position, the stubbornness to stop playing out from the back or switch to 4-4-2, the lack of  cohesion or defined style of play, or any signs at all that the team is gelling. And then there are the baffling interviews from a man sadly lacking in intelligence or ability to communicate.

People say Jos was bad, but he inherited someone else’s squad, suffered crippling injury problems, could barely speak the language and could point to a track record of winning promotion. Moore can’t fall back on any of these - he’s just crap.

He's had more than enough time now.

These three games were against mid-table teams and we've evded up with a measly three points.

Despite this being a "new" team, it is the same old failings - no real style of play, silly errors and conceding late goals.

In the summer, he brought in 14 new players; several of whom were wide forward types to play in a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 system. Our genius of a manager then decides a few weeks back that we need to go three at the back, making several of our summer signings completely  ineffective. It is also painfully obvious that we don't have centre backs who are comfortable playing in a three, so much so we had two fullbacks (one a winger too playing) playing at the back.

It is beyond farcical. If you are playing Marvin Johnson - a player who at one point was playing as a forward - then you do not have a f*cling clue.

Honestly, the whole thing is utter lunacy; a sort of self fulfilling prophecy fueled by flawed logic and idiocy.

You keep changing the team, they play with zero cohesion, consistency and this is reflected in the results. So you change it again and again and again.

I don’t know why we have to mention the interviews or infer a lack of intelligence from them. Very few football managers say anything worthwhile in the press conferences.. he’s no worse than Monk in that respect.

I agree with the rest though re formations, style of play and team selections and for those reasons he has to go as it’s not going to click and the writing is on the wall. Might as well twist and see if someone else can get us up like Sturrock and Jones the last 2 times

If I hear Darren Moore has gone I wont shed a tear but think Wednesdays problems go deeper then just the manager.

we all know that but the problems on the pitch are 100% down to moore  he was backed pre season more than any other manager ,i repeat nobody can stick up for darren. the football is awful, tactics , team line up ,subs/timings etc etc nothing makes sense .
