WEDNESDAY - v - LINCOLN CITY - omdt

Recommended Posts

Once again so many copycat comments in response to the line up.  Can we not find the patience to wait and see what formation is played or even better wait to judge the quality of the performance and the result before we mindlessly slate Moore and the selected players. I am getting sick and tired of such a pessimistic attitude pre kick-off when a ball has not even been kicked.  If this is an example of “support” then I am a unitedite!

I mean, I know I lauded our summer recruitment and maybe I was just really wrong about that... I can hold my hands up if that's the case... but I don't understand how after bringing in 14 new players the manager can possibly decide lining up with such a (on paper) unbalanced XI is in any way justifiable and not a damning indictment on who he bought in?

Its to counter Lincolns wonderful football. You still have a lot to learn StudentOwl

Well..he seems adamant that he's going to play that way so he might be trying Palmer to make it work?

Dunno.

My concern is that it leaves a lot of responsibility to Iorfa to cover crosses and be the physical holding CB, something I've not seen from him as the position I like him playing is the loose cannon CB who (can cover his mistakes) by beating the opposition with pace.

If the line up works, great, we will see.

Never easy to guess but looks like 442

Hunt Palmer Iorfa Johnson

Dennis Dele Bannan Brown

Berahino Gregory

Dont rate Brown but can’t argue with two lefties up our left.

Really pleased to see Dennis, Dele and Bannan in the side together.

Big hats off to Palmer - LB, RB, CB and he just gets on with it and rarely has a bad game.
