Tough game I suspect but, I do think we'll edge it. I'm not sure how many 3.00am KO's I have left in me so a win would be welcome........ As always, I'm looking for fight and commitment first and foremost. Many fans are already on your back, what do you have to lose. There is no such thing as a safe option, contain the opposition, protect the defence, counter attack a weaker opponent, life is a risk, as is football. I'm sure, you will have seen enough in the last 15 minutes of the last game to realise, this is the best formation for us. Go back to basics, go back to a formation that most players are comfortable with, go back to a formation that will suit our players, amplify our strengths whilst limiting the opposition. Forget about this 433, 352 continental guff, overly complicated style that just doesn't work or fit a proud club in the third tier of English football, let alone a system that the players understand, because they don't. If we had Mo Salah, Iniesta or Ronaldo or Zidane, fair enough,. But we don't. We have players who are limited in their skillset, but who could do a proper job in a proper system that they understand. Sometimes trying to be too clever will have the complete opposite and reverse effect, which is what we have witnessed the past couple of months. 442, it really is as simple as that. 442, gives balance between attack and defence, we are more than capable with the players we have at our disposal. 442 gives width on the flanks, again, anyone who has read about military history would tell you is of vital importance. I could go back through countless ancient battles that were essentially won using the flanks. Moral of the story, use the bloody flanks. I rarely see us looking at the opposition, targeting their weaknesses, and launch all our attacks down that side. If it means we try to get a certain weak player of theirs sent off, then lets do that. Let them worry about us, not the other way round. If we are worrying about the opposition then something is seriously wrong. Only time we've e ever been on the North we beat Preston 4-1 and Athde scored a wordie. He asked at the last game if we could try the North again, I'm a bit dubious, lack of legroom, a distinct lack of Werthers and also a bit shouty. However, what the little blighter asks for he always gets so the North stand has been booked and if we win that's where we will remain. I do think there’s been glimmers of improvement these last two games. We should have had 4 points and could have had 6, but ‘coulda shoulda’ gets you nowhere. But we were dominant and impressive for about 65 minutes v Wimbledon and 45 v Cambridge. I hope Moore has learned key messages from both good and bad - less fannying at the back, a mate for Gregory, and Brown is not a winger. There is a question-mark over our confidence at home.
