We would be MUCH better without Bannan

Manager shoehorning him into the team now.

Right wing?

Moore doesn't have a clue, does he? Just making it up as he goes along.

I'm thinking that Moore might have his arm up his back when it comes to selection.

I've absolutely no proof or evidence for saying this but it's my opinion.

Bannan has direct dialogue with DC.

He has a lot of influence at the club. More than he should.

To be fair, this may be part of the problem.

Bannan has the tools to be the best holding / deep midfielder in this league by far.

He reads the game brilliantly, has tons of energy, can put a foot in when needed, good passing.

He just needs to be able to reign himself in and stay back a bit.

That’s my view too.

He’s a deep-lying midfielder. I accept that’s not a common opinion. Most fans appear to think he’s better starting higher up the field.

Starting deep he is our best option by far to give our CBs an escape route if Moore continues to play out from the back. Playing out is supposed to draw the opposition forward, so space opens up. Bannan is our most technically comfortable player by miles and miles, able to twist and turn to commit opponents.

Starting deep also means he sees far more of the ball. Who watched the Ipswich games and still thinks Bannan is better higher up the pitch? It immediately nullified our best player. Stupidity.

As long as DC is here I'm not sure we'll ever be able to shake this conspiracy theory off... The craziest thing about it is that I don't think anybody would be surprised if it turns out to be true!

Did he call him and ask to be left in the bench at Wigan then?

Only this club could find a way to hammer the best player at the club by a country mile and hold him somehow responsible for our performances.

He’s not picking the team, the shape or tactics.

He would be an asset to any team in this league and 90% of the teams in the league above. But lets hound him out. Seems to be the Wednesday way.

Bannan is one of the worst right wingers I’ve seen.

In the infamous Huddersfield game, when Wallace had to go off, bazza came in and played on the right and tbh for me was one of the best players on the night with Fletcher.....

That said that was how long ago now.

Oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god... It's finally dawning on me that the Bannan haters may have a crumb of truth to their misguided beliefs.

He's too good for this league and because of it we just play through him when he's on the pitch, I don't blame the other players for this it's a big shadow to step out from (ironically).

But we are predictable when he's on the pitch. Any team with a player of his quality at this level would be.

The question for me now is can we spice it up/able to have the luxury of using him differently. I'm thinking super sub as I can't see a team structure his talent fits into.

Or is January the answer?

It is not healthy.

How do you know this is true ?

A good question.

I have a friend who is involved in football. He told me a few things about the goings on at Wednesday. Nothing overly controversial. He is a very good bloke who I trust.

Anyway, he told me.

The conversation took place ahead of DM’s appointment.

Bannan had suggested a couple of managers.

I don’t know if DM was one. Personally I don’t think so.

I was in a queue for my battered cod and chips last night, bloke in front of me was saying same thing,

asked chippy owner who he was, said it was Derek from Chap.

Is this the same bloke?

Seems to be very knowledgeable, got his fish wrapped separate so's not to go soggy.
