I genuinely think we can stay up (Part 3)

Stranger things have happened, can’t think what but I’m sure something has.

I was a bit concerned when our assistant manager, talking after the Forest game, said “ I think that the importance of the game got to the players “

There’s still players in our team who didn’t “ turn up” in the playoff final and the following seasons semifinal.... someone has to try to get those bottlers to realise the importance of Saturdays game and put a shift in.

The only positive I see is that we are probably the team with less pressure on them. Of course we need to win but then so do both Rovrum & Derby to guarantee safety and we start in the lowest position. Will be a very nervy afternoon !

I believe for every drop of rain that falls a flower grows
I believe that somewhere in the darkest night a candle glows
I believe for everyone who goes astray someone will come to show the way
I believe, I believe

I believe above the storm the smallest prayer will still be heard
I believe that someone in the great somewhere hears every word
Every time I hear a newborn baby cry or touch a leaf or see the sky
Then I know why I believe

There really isn’t...only 2 players Westwood and Bannan survive from the playoff team.

Trouble is Smith has shown in the Forest game he’s not the man to get the players playing. Any chance Moore could be back?

Yes Jeff, Wycombes 13th goal came in the 99th minute. Keeping them up and relegating Sheffield Wednesday who had gone ahead at Derby in the 97th!

Good grief , Roger. Have you been on the ale?

Just pay the players now Chansiri. For the love of God don’t let them go in to the game without being paid.

He’ll be doing the team talk via Zoom for this one.

Obviously won’t happen but it’s a shame we can’t have someone else in charge on Saturday if Moore isn’t well enough. Smith seems like he doesn’t really want the gig and he seems out of his depth, seeing him just stood there against Forest looking like a rabbit in the headlights was hardly inspiring. Would the players react better to someone else? Thompson even?

Out of the three clubs Wednesday can do it. I truly believe we can.

With this shitty team we'd have a better chance of staying up by not showing up on Saturday!
