Bournemouth have spent the majority of the last 10 years in the premier league so anyone that follows the premier league has heard of them.

Twitter may not be the best barometer of club size but both Bournemouth and Watford have hundreds of thousands more followers than us.

Without using google, how many clubs from outside the U.K. can you name that haven’t played top flight football in the last 20 years? I’d struggle to name any so why would anyone from outside the U.K. have heard of us?

Rightly or wrongly swfc is known more than other clubs outside prem for so long because of hillsborough and our unusual name. Its hard to forget a clubs name that has a word from a day in the week in it.

Agreed, I have lived overseas the majority of my adult life and rarely meet anyone who follows the club as a fan. We are known because of the disaster and because we have a unique name. In so far as being recognized as a football club because of our football we are pretty insignificant.

Some delusional in that post unless it’s a wind up.

Can you let me know where Sheffield Wednesday are known worldwide? I’ve been a few places and no one I’ve ever met from outside the U.K. has even heard of Sheffield Wednesday

Where did you go.

Outer Mongolia or Siberia?

I've traveled around the globe, and on many many occasions have been asked my team.

Sheffield Wednesday is usually met with " ahhh Chris Waddle"

You don't have to believe me but it's true.

Sheffield Wednesday are well known and for you to say no one has heard of them outside the UK is absolute twaddle.

I honestly thought we had some sensible and smart Wednesday fans that could see the bigger picture. The entire issues surrounding the club is far beyond the manager and staff.

We've tried the experienced manager in Pulis, promotions and survivals throughout his entire career - lasted 10 games. We've tried the championship journeyman route in Monk who started okay, but fell off. We've tried the promotion specialist from abroad, ended  badly.

Chansiri has now gone for a young and upcoming manager who is known for playing a progressive and attack minded game and 6 days in, people are now questioning his credentials. Not even Guardiola could get this lot playing. There is no doubt we are getting relegated so let's use these games to keep trying to implement a style of football. 4 different managers this year with 4 different identities. I hate refereeing to other clubs but look at Barnsley, their board decided on the type of team they want to be, and they have recruited coaches and players that fit that style over 2/3 years and this year, they are finally getting the benefits of good recruitment and smart decisions from the board room.

It's going to take time, relax and accept this season is finished. It will make the next few games a lot more easier to watch if you just step back and try and see how Darren Moore wants us to play. We need to stick with it and let him build. He literally has a free throw at it this year for me.

I work in America 4-6 months of the year. When talking football I’ve not yet met a single person who even knows Sheffield Wednesday exist.

I want to see the type of football Moore is trying to play. The fact that the current players are not good enough to adapt to a more progressive, expansive type of modern football is not his fault.

I'm pleased he hasn't pandered to revert to the players preferred hoofball, because it's easier for them.

The big question is whether he's backed and given control over recruitment in the summer. If not, would be another waste of time appointment.

We now have a manager with a football identity about him, important that he brings in the players he wants  to play his football, rather than have Paxo's players forced on him and fail to adapt.

Got to be given time this guy (of which he most likely won’t be)

out of all the managers we have hired over the last few years of the circus , DM  is the one i actually want, and path I wanted to go down

Young, attack minded coach - it’s what we’ve all been after isn’t it?

We are down this season bar a miracle - most of the squad out of contract in The summer , let DM rebuild that hungry young team we were promised

Why did you take this job?

I would feel sorry for him but he didn’t have to take it. The warning signs around the club were there, wasn’t a secret.

Career suicide for a manager still early in his career.

Why did he take the job ?

And more importantly , why was it offered to him?

I lived there for 10 years between 1993-2003.

My experience couldn't be more different.
