It is called an investment, and if you never gamble, you will never win. He showed plenty to earn himself a long term deal here.

6 month ago it was Alex hunt...what’s your view on him?.

If it was that clear cut, then Chansiri would match that, surely.

With Neil Thompson involved, there's nobody better to explain the value of our youth to Chansiri.

If he listens, we'll soon find out.

Neil Thomson will not say anything about owt to dc...he’s just happy to be put in charge..

Sick of it right now, what double standards. You came from academy and you are a top prospect, you should agree to whatever is put infront of you for love of your club. But if club decide you are not good enough, than it is ok to kick you aside as a sick dog.

People on here expect loyalty to go only one way, way that suits them.

To protect your assesst. Chelsea do it. if we had offered in a 1-year additional extension at the beginning of this season we could have told him to Celtic for more more than that have cost us to develop him

Your making the assumption they would have signed the contract.  Its in the players interest to run down the contract and listen to other offers knowing that they could still sign for Wednesday

If Liam Shaw was your son, wonder what you would advise him to do, and how you’d feel if he received dogs abuse simply for pursuing his own career and dreams ?

His dream only a few weeks ago was to play for Sheffield Wednesday.

Morals and football arnt easy bedfellows. It's quite easy to come on here and spout off saying if it was me or my lad he'd stay at Wednesday, we the reality is you or your kid probably wasn't good enough in the first place to make it.

Supporters seem to think players care about clubs to the same level they do.

They don't.

It's a job and it's a short career. But a privileged one.

Aim of the game, make as much as possible, as quick as possible.

Said it before, good luck to the lad. You do what's best for you and if you aspire to be the best, you give yourself the best opportunity.
