alanharper
New owners are probably thinking it's not far from Manchester and not far from Liverpool, so with enough cash we can get the top players to sign for Burnley. They've obviously never been to Burnley.

sMacLean
If you want to be able to show off that you own a Prem team I suppose the options are very limited to ever buy as nobody ever wants to sell if it's a good thing. Pay over the odds for already Prem Burnley or risk buying a club like Wednesday and getting them there.

The days of a town football club are over. They could move the team 200 miles (like American sports teams) and it would make no difference. The area, tradition, history, even fans mean nothing anymore. Before the PL I could identify the badge, colours, ground, even floodlights of nearly every club. It doesn't matter anymore, only money counts.
