Come Back, All is Forgiven...........

Lovely lovely guy... scored some cracking and important goals for us, but if we are sitting here thinking that Nuhiu is the answer it really shows how far we have sunk. He’d be the answer in league one... maybe we can tempt him off the beach when that happens.

The recruitment and retention policy here is laughable.
In this case we stockpiled strikers, until their value evaporated and the only one left is surplus to requirements.

I think Monk would have kept Nuhiu and Fletcher given the chance, he paired them a few times last season.

There’s every chance that club finances contributed to Nuhiu’s departure, as it did with Fletcher.

But the replacements...like buying rhubarb when your making a steak and kidney pie.

Fletcher was never going to stay was he, club on the slide and him looking more than capable despite our woes. We were never going to match his previous contract, he was always going to go somewhere with more immediate prospects than a club with an impending points deduction.

Monk left Nuhiu on the bench after lockdown even when our options were reduced, he showed little inclination of highlighting how important it would be to keep him.

Nuhiu would be an adequate answer to any club looking to finish somewhere around 14th-21st in this division. He would certainly be a better answer than the options we have now.

A 100 percent hero.

Our second highest goal scorer since David Hirst ( who signed for us in 1986).

Our record goal scorer in the last decade.

A man who stepped up and fired us to safety in the depths of the grim seasons after Carlos and Jones got sacked when all others were lying on the treatment table playing Fortnite.

There are very few  absolute stand out heroes from the past 10 years.  Loovens, Nuhiu, Semedo, Liera, Kachunga.

Also bring back lee only midfield player who was prepared to venture into penelty box

Despite all the criticism, he had the ability (plus sheer size) to help turn a game in our favour.

Just think how useful he would have been this season when we were struggling in games.

Instead, we have Kachunga (crap), Rhodes (the subbed sub), Windass (ok) and fat Burt Reynolds.

Well , if we finish between 14th and 21st this season now, I’ll be more than happy.

I really didn’t expect that he would be missed as much as he is.
