Wednesday - V - Stoke (H) omdt

Recommended Posts

There's no other way Pulis can set us up than concentrate on getting us organised defensively and hard to beat, we have ZERO quality upfront and very little attacking flair in midfield.  No idea how people expect us to set up but you've got to play to your strengths and that's definitely not free flowing attacking football.

Carlos did OK with Joao, he was young, raw and new to the league at the time. He obviously had value. We chose to let the likes of Forestieri see out their bumper contracts and leave for nothing having offered nothing for the best part of 3 seasons.

Exactly.

A far worse crime than selling an inconsistent player for £5m

TBF you know you've got a weak squad when JVA gets the shirt.

He'd be nowhere near a start if Iorfa or Flint were fit but the lack of a proper left-back and proper striker is down to terrible recruitment as any fan would have told those were priorities last season.

Thats Pulis only plan as a manager.

Yep, exactly, so if we'd managed the sale of other 'assets' properly we wouldn't have had to sell a young, raw striker with the best years ahead of him.

Oh I don't know. The sages say an attacking manager would have us playing free flowing technical attacking football by now.

My records better than our current options.

Plausible.

Fan favourites though.

People moaning the sale of Joao would have been outraged at the sale of attacking players like "nando"

Yep because it's the same players.

This is the team that Monk built being managed by TP.

These players were signed under Carvalhal, Luhukay, Bruce, Bullen and Monk.

I'm sure Monk would have loved to have been able to add more quality than he did in the summer, but circumstances were against us thanks to the chairman's prior actions.

The point remains that we simply have no genuine attacking quality in our squad.
