These players were signed under Carvalhal, Luhukay, Bruce, Bullen and Monk.

I'm sure Monk would have loved to have been able to add more quality than he did in the summer, but circumstances were against us thanks to the chairman's prior actions.

The point remains that we simply have no genuine attacking quality in our squad.

Yes I should have said this is the team Monk left behind.

It doesn't matter in our case though does it given our current squad? If he tried to get us to play attacking football with the players we've got we'd get torn apart and relegated without doubt.

Excuses, Excuses.

We have the players.

Fan favourites though.

People moaning the sale of Joao would have been outraged at the sale of attacking players like "nando"

Not after what he had offered in 2017-18 and 2018-19. The price wouldn't have been anywhere near as big as it was in his 'prime' but the money saved on another 18 months or year of his wages with the increasing baggage that came with him would have been worthwhile. The running down of big contracts like Fletcher and Hooper and others was complete mismanagement resulting in us having to sell Joao and now a year later being left with no strikers.
