No it's not it's the usual garbage...We wanted to sign him but couldn't as we were under the soft embargo at the time. He's coming on a free now...result

I see to recall we messed up big time as well that if we wanted to buy him before a certain date it would have cost us 800k but as we let the date lapse it shot up to something like 3 million

Joao has the talent..  he just needs to be consistent every game.

Just recently he's been consistently not playing, doesn't appear to have been in Reading's squad since his hamstring injury in January.

We got very, very lucky with the money we got for Joao, how we got Reading to pay that much I have no idea, he was not worth it one little bit.

At the time, possibly, but you always have a chance if the player has that sort of skill set. We should have played him more as well People say we should be more like Brentford in their approach to recruitment, but there is no way Brentford would have played Fletcher ahead of Joao. In fact, they would never have signed Fletcher in the first place

He has had a niggling, and persistent injury, but his goals per minutes record is quite good, 7 league goals and 3 assists from 20 games, including sub appearances

The club operates with a recruitment team     headed up by David Downes, and Dean Hughes is a recruitment analysis

Monk has an input , and Paxaio likely talks to agents and liaises with DC

Chill out with the conspiracy theories every time there’s a rumoured signing and it’s not a player Garry Monk or any other manager knows inside out

Debate wether it’s right or wrong but it’s  how the club operates, probably same as Huddersfield do, which is why Cowleys got boot

David Downes and Dean Hughes were brought in by Bruce. Do you really think they, along with Monk have identified Venancio without any prior input from somebody else given his history with the club?

So we did miss a trick not signing him last time around then - becuase we were unable to do so due to being under an embargo having not got our own house in order.

I'd have rather had him available for the past two seasons than call it a 'result' potentially getting him for free now.

He would be a first team regular and a good addition if we could get him in.

Downes , Hughes , Monk , Paxaio

All have input, the club don’t hide it ? How many times has it been explained and why do we find it so hard to understand

It's not hard to understand, it just doesn't fit the rhetoric of some fans.

Also he was here for the season, the club definitely have all the footage of him playing and probably coach/medical reports too
