After some consideration, I’d take that over the deduction.

Another sad fact about the whole situation is clubs waiting to hope they survive by other clubs been punished.

League tables should be decided on the pitch not in tribunals/courts.

Sure, but if those players on the pitch are only there because rules have been broken then it's not a level playing field.

Our off the field shenanigans have been exactly to influence the outcome on the pitch.  It's not like we allegedly broke the rules to invest massively in the stadium or the academy, we did it to pay for FF, Abdi and Rhodes et al.

In all honestly they have given out so much money in the last 4 months there is going to be an awful lot of dodgy people trying to make money of the back of Co-Vid.

You only have to look at the pond scum that tried to sell Loos rolls for £40 each when it first started. I saw yesterday some bloke selling CO-Vid cure kits that has got a suspended sentence and another company that has been done for claiming near £1/2m in furlough money when they had no staff.

But let hope all of the scum get brought to justice.

Kieran Maguire also referred to the lack of any funds changing hands for many months plus an apparent length delay registering the transaction via The Land Registry.

The non movement of funds is a total misnomer. Maguire talking poo on that one.

As for the company used not existing - irrelevant - you can novate a contract between exchange and completion.

For accounting purposes you can recognise the transaction on exchange of contracts if it is unconditional - key concept is to recognise the substance of the transaction not its legal form. So date it is legally registered is another misnomer

So it is unusual for sure but the devil in this is in the detail of the contracts - which aren't in the public domain.

So no one unless you had access to those documents can make a judgement on this

Your judgement on these matters is worth far more than mine.

I've also heard it suggested that the delay at The Land Registry was longer than usual, but not entirely anomalous on it's own.

We also do not have full details of the charge, it is assumed that it is solely about the timing of the sale of the stadium.

They may be disputing the valuation (as in Derby''s case)

Anyone know what is happening to the charges against Derby which were levied before ours?

Lots of people saying on social media it will be announced today with a -12 point deduction. Let’s just hope it isn’t true because we will be in sodding league one next season.

And probably then hit with another deduction in 3 weeks time too. When the latest accounts go into companies house for last season figures

It only takes one to post speculation and it spreads like wild fire.
