Sure I read somewhere that MacAnthony promised him he could leave if they weren't promoted.

They were just doing well at the time. Lets say it was Wednesday in the same position, what would you be saying then? Genuinely interested. Because there's only one way we're going. The club should have done all it could to have this season declared null & void because it was the only chance we had of staying up. Like what? They didn't earn it over a full season playing every team home and away. Shame the season wasn’t abandoned on the 23rd December

Taximark
There was around 10 clubs in L1 that could have gone up. The whole thing has been a joke and I cant believe most have agreed to it. Football needs to go bust...I wouldn't be bothered one bit.
matthefish2002
Must be one of most low key Promotions of all time. Seems daft having a go at Rotherham for getting promoted without the full season being played as the reasons for that were totally out of their hands. Football League clubs really had two choices to either void the league or fuming season on PPG. I would have voided season myself but that would have left other clubs upset. With the difference in points anything could have happened if the games had been played. How often do the top 6 positions after 35 games remain the same once 46 have been played? Looking good for us then,

TheEnchanter
Nice to see Coventry back. A decade since we last played them which seems a lot. Good fans too. Rotherham however are like the unflushable turd.

FreshOwl
“Earned it” with 10 games left, give me an effin break I saw Coventrys twitter last night acting like they’d gone up with a 100pts, cringeworthy
steelcityowlsfan
I hope we don’t get punished and end up in L1. It’s bad enough being below the pigs but being below Toytown is an insult. Edited June 10, 2020 by steelcityowlsfan
