Oh behave, of course they have.

10,11,12 games left for most in that division. With the difference in points anything could have happened if the games had been played. How often do the top 6 positions after 35 games remain the same once 46 have been played?

Rather see Rotherham promoted than Sunderland - but that's just personal prejudice against Sunderland....

If they are good enough they will stay up next season - if they were promoted in error they will drop back down again...  Not the greatest way to end a season but majority of teams agreed to this process...

Of course the majority went this way - it would have been like turkeys voting for Christmas not to. Top 2 happy to finished now where they are. Teams in the play-offs might have wanted to chase down Rotherham but ultimately only one could ever prosper from this so happy to settle for the play-offs. A couple outside the top 6 will be unhappy because they might have made top 6 but majority of mid-table sides happy to stop now because playing on would mean releasing more staff from furlough and losing money. Every side near the relegation zone obviously happy to stop. Bottom 2 no chance of staying up and again would lose money playing on so happy not to, Tranmere understandably not happy.

They happened to be in the right position when games were stopped with almost a quarter of the season unplayed. They didn't earn it over a full season playing every team home and away.

I think it's an absolute outrage.  Every season someone comes good in the last few games to get promotion or seal a play off spot (that was the idea of the playoffs, to keep the season alive until the last kick). We all know that anything can happen with a couple of games to go, never mind a quarter of the season. Unless every game has been completed under the same conditions then the season is a mockery.

I agree but the clubs voted it to be this way. The problem they have is the clubs would have gone bankrupt if they would have to finish the season off. The clubs probably would have voted to finish the season off behind closed doors but they also knew it would break them.

Ivan Toney stuck down there with Peterborough. Wonder if their valuation of him has now altered.

They will do well to get anything like £15M for a League One striker with one year left on his contract in the current climate.

I think that was the right way to do it. Carrying on behind closed doors is utterly embarassing. The season has ended.....everything played now is a joke. Well done rovrum. What a really rubbish way to go up though........Be funny seeing them relegsted again next season

Rotherham United were today handed promotion to the Championship to join us IF we don't get EFL'd to death regarding points deductions.

Could make for a couple of cracking games next season so long as we are still in the Championship that is.

This thread should be titled mini pigs to swap places with Wednesday.

Because there's only one way we're going. The club should have done all it could to have this season declared null & void because it was the only chance we had of staying up.

I think its ironic that the teams now in the play off places after ppg are happy for the season to finish now, yet they now go on to play 2/3 games.
