If one of his shots goes in he's a hero, but they didn't so he's a villain. How many shots have our so called striker scored recently? I'm glad Fletchers back cos we know what he can do, but give Fenando a break he was desperate to score tonight. Why not just enjoy the win rather than criticise a player for having a shot.

Name me a better player ? Arguably fletcher... even the players said it the other day. Shame he’s had the injuries, I for one will be gutted if he does not get a new contract

since nando arrived 5 years ago …….bannan, lee , westwood , hooper , fletcher ,hutch ,Wallace ……..none who have his ability but all who have contributed more .

I was watching the same game as you  …...and I agree if he had scored 1 or 2 of the good chances he missed he'd have  got the MOM  ...he didn't so he didn't …..would you have been so complimentary if nuhiu had missed those chances ?...….nuhiu influenced the result far more than FF  did

Difference being FF offers more to the team than Nuhiu does. If Nuhiu isn't scoring he offers very little. He doesn't have the quickness to get around the pitch, he can't help defend, he can't help put attackers under pressure, he doesn't have the movement like FF to get in to those spaces where FF managed to get some chances

and I'd disagree about Nuhiu influencing the game more (not personally aimed at him though). Thought after all the subs was made our performance went flat which let Charlton back in to the game although thankfully did not punish us

you are overlooking the fact that Nuhiu fell over and took three defenders out giving an assist for Fletch to score

  • Haha 1

"nobody told me there would be days like these!"

nuhiu cant defend and FF  can ……..do you go to games ?......nuhiu is an absolute godsend when we are under the cosh .time after time when the ball comes into our box at corners and free kicks he gets on the end of it . ….nando not so much .

Neither are defenders yet one is 3 foot taller than the other. I doubt FF is considered for his defensive abilities.

Nuhiu also cant prevent the attacking team from creating an attack due to his tree like stature, FF has the mobility to pressure them.

Nuhiu is used as a target, kick ball to his head see what happens.. Usually nothing, which is not his fault as he admittedly cant head the ball.

Last night we had so much fluidity by creating attack after attack.  May not work against better, positive teams but im sure was worth the admittance fee for once.

Good question.

So, you choose.

Forestieri-Fletcher. Team scores every 90+ minutes.

Rhodes-Fletcher. Team scores every 34 minutes.

and, the bonus ball....we get FF on the pitch in his best position by miles and miles.

Doh

Rhodes is poo!

Oh please.  He clogs the middle.

He also has the turning speed of a rusty tank and is easily neutralized by any team with pace.

We all know that but his sheer size gives something that none of our other can offer ....6 managers have all had him in the matchday squad on a regular basis and he's  usually the one they bring on when we are under the cosh .

Awesome player. When playing in a free role up top he is a joy to watch and makes the rest of the team click.

Last night was almost vintage Forestieri - just needed one of his many shots to go in.

Drifted out of the game when moved to wide left. Should never be played there.

Wrong position and way too gready. 5 years during which the team have scored less than a goal every 90 minutes when he’s played striker.

He was man of the match and at least he has the confidence to shoot lol

he did work hard …...but how was he very good when he missed 3 good chances and created little …...

He can play football ,hes comfortable on the ball in any situation, he tackles to come out with the ball , and sometimes we see a bit of magic

....a rare delight in the last 20 years of anti football garbage

Thought he did well first half (shooting apart) but faded a little after half time.  He’s a good option to have, but think my definition of “unplayable” is a little different to some on here.

Would be very happy to be proved wrong, as I’ve loved watching him in the past, but suspect his best days are behind him.  Not sure I would offer a new contract, or that he would even be looking to stay beyond end of season.

Watch his team mates reaction time after time tonight. Shooting from 25 and 30 yards with players in far better positions.

Great to see FF perform as he did last night but agree with team mates reactions.  Wickham particularly was getting frustrated with his lack of team play.

Will take the greediness though if we have this sort of FF in the team.
