Or lack of it?

Is our seemingly never ending habit of conceding late goals a fitness issue, or certainly a stamina issue?

Not sure of the average age of our Matchday squad, but I would hazard a guess that it is near to, if not the oldest, in the division.

The same Midfield that wasn't quite good enough 4 years ago, is still being used - if we were massively successful with it, that would make sense, but seeing as it consistently too weak, why are we persisting with it?

Our full backs are not the greatest going forward, yet often lack stamina over the full 90 minutes, if they are not attacking that much, then why are they blowing out of their backsides all the time, compared to full-backs and wing backs of the opposites that fly up and down the wing for 90 odd minutes?

This is just one of many problems with the current set up.

Millions wasted yet same aging midfield that weren't good enough 4 years ago.

What a complete waste of time and money.

You're right lets put all our new transfers in instead of Bannan, Hutch and Lee. I'll just ring Abdi, Jones, Butterfield, Boyd, Pelupessy. Oh hang on.

Those transfer windows have set us back years and years. The fact we are top half of the table with how bad our transfers have worked recently is credit to the lads who have been here a while. Where would we be without Westwood, Lees, Bannan, Hutch and Fletch. I shudder to think, playing AFC Wimbledon etc i think. Hopefully our new transfer strategy with players like Harris, Borner and Luongo will work better and start the recovery. And therefore we will get younger and hopefully fitter.

Saw a thread on twitter yesterday by Peter from Owls About Stat, which points out, that we're actually getting stronger as the game goes on.

We're creating a lot of chances between the 76th and 85th minute...it's our most effective phase of the game.

Is it simply a case of switching off? A run of luck going against us?

It does seem to be a recent uplift in goals conceded so late on. Could easily be a remarkable run of "unluckiness," which can't be sustainable over the course of a season.

Unfortunate, apart from Luongo who has not been available last few matches, what other options do we have. Midfield and striking dept both need addressing in Jan, if we are allowed to.

The defenders are always going to get panicky near the end because we never get more than one goal ahead.

Just take more of those chances the team are creating, the pressure will then be on the opponent.
We are brilliant at hitting the woodwork at present. It’s happened several times in the last three or four games.
That sort of luck just has to change and hopefully it will be Birmingham on the wrong end of it.

Don’t think it’s fitness it’s a mixture of bad luck and poor play

Cardiff - never a free kick and defender was offside

Blackburn - poor defending and goalkeeping followed by a deflection

Swansea - deflection led to brilliant save. Resulting corner keeper makes a hash of it

West Brom - Palmer has a mare and striker throws himself to the floor as Westwood comes out

All of those games we could and should have won. Our issue is not capitalising on our chances that we create

We saw it in a snapshot against Swansea..We equalise..They panic...We take the lead...then we panic...They equalise....I panic...
