Reach will play well in a team that are also playing well ..

Dont rely on him to be the brains of the outfit or indeed an Anchorman ...

He has to be led

He's not a natural.

The rest of the team need to improve

He's the surfer in the team..

No waves no Reach ..

The players who have a few poor games never seem to be left out

He was bad today

Seems to have lost the ability to control a ball.

Been noticing this quite a few games.

Like watching Bambi trying to control a ball that's made of greased rubber.

Adam is a butterfly.  Watching him play football is like watching a butterfly pass through a meadow of flowers. If something catches his attention, he gives it his full attention and it’s beautiful to behold. But for most of the time he just drifts on the wind.

Think its 1 goal in 15 now which is worrying for a front 3 player.

His best position is probably left mid but not sure he even has a clear position.

I would be happy if we got a few million for him in jan or summer before his contracts up, good runner without being quick, but technically very average imo

I’ve said it before and I got negged for it by some, but we’ve got a stack of players who’ve been here way too long and will never be consistent enough or professional enough or fit enough or good enough to take us forward and Reach is one of them. We can point the finger at the incompetence of some of our ex managers but the facts are that we Owls spend way too much time making excuses and wishing and hoping that some of our players have turned the corner and will lead us to glory.  They won’t and never will. We need to have a proper clear out and if we’ve have to be patient or even take a slight step backwards to achieve it so be it. In the medium term it’s for the best, let’s stop kidding ourselves they’re not good enough for the Wednesday shirt and never will be.

Been saying for years now we've too few players with that real winners attitude. Real desire and determination, you get it from hutch n Fletch, but far too many especially reach just Coast along in a game and "see how it pans out".

We've been signing nice neat tidy footballers for the last 4 years.

If you want to win things you need to create a balance not just in playing style and skills, but mentally top.

That's why the mob from down the road whent up last year, they had a good balance. They had a bit of pace, some experienced heads, some skill, some gnarly warriors capable of digging in and leaders our on the pitch.

Well never go up until we start building a side that's also balanced in attitude as well.

Think it’s time we saw FF on the Left and Harris on the Right.

Doesn’t matter who we play wide if we don’t give them the ball. None of our wide players are suited to chasing hopeless long punts, competing for aerial balls or trying to feed off scraps from Fletch.

In every game this season Harris has had the beating of his fullback. Reach is a good player at this level and Fessi has the X factor.

We need to develop an attacking strategy to constantly feed balls to the wide players feet, playing through the lines at a quick tempo and repeatedly switching play with a view to isolating them 1 on 1 with their fullback. By doing this they can go outside and cross for Fletch and Luongo arriving late, cut inside and get a shot away or drive at the centre back and create space for others.

Also by feeding our wide players with controlled possession we will force our opponents full backs deeper

Our best attacking options are in the wide areas but we currently chose not to utilise them in favour of safety first formations and percentage long balls. Even Messi and Ronaldo look less effective when starved of the ball.
