The fact Sakho even said and points to his shoulder was clear within the game. It was handball. VAR has failed a few times, but that was not one of them

People losing their sh*t because he made a few nice saves for in an awful Sunderland side. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a poorer goalkeeper in the league. He's awful. EighteenSixty7
Leicester's form post-locdown is something else. The injuries to key players havent helped, I think if they keep the likes of Maddison and add some more quality then they can challenge for Top 4 again. Vardy definitely needs some help. Since they hammered Southampton 9-0, Southampton have picked up more points than them.

NorfolkNChance
Pickford is vastly overrated, and the way he saves high shots is just weird, such an unnatural method can’t explain it. I think Pope looks the real deal and he looks the business, huge stature as well. Henderson is also better than Pickford. Pickford is 3rd choice at best for England imo. A bit troubling that in a must win, they did nothing worth mentioning.

God knows they gave West Ham plenty of opportunities.

To be fair, that's probably justice for the unbelievably awful decision that went against them for Henri Lansbury's equaliser against Crystal Palace That was the point they missed out on - although Palace should have been out of sight the time that incident happened

WalthamOwl
Lallana going to Brighton. Surprised by that. He seems to spend a lot of time injured and can imagine he will be on big wages. IF he can stay fit though an impressive signing for Brighton.

At least with the PL its rarely the same team that wins every year. Next year will be much more competitive with Chelsea now able to strengthen and man utd are starting to come good. NorfolkNChance
Lazio were only a point behind Juventus pre lockdown but they’ve had a mare since the restart. Serie A has been great post lockdown with high scoring competitive games throughout. Inter , Atalanta, AC Milan, Sassuolo, Juventus averaging almost 3 goals scored a game since the restart. It’s one of the few leagues that has adapted to the no fans situation and actually put entertainment on show. Atalanta have scored 96 goals in Serie A alone with 2 games left , only Man City have done that in England.
Skyline
Didn't want to start a new thread, but Nathan Ake to Man City for a staggering £41mil Good buy or....? I must admit to not seeing much of him, and never one have I came away thinking "Wow, that a player"
WalthamOwl
Raul Jimenez possibly on his way to Man Utd. Quality player. Be an excellent signing if it happens. As for Ake 40+ million seems a hell of a lot of money for him. Think I read also that Chelsea have a buy back clause. Be interesting if they take that up. I must admit to not seeing much of him, and never one have I came away thinking "Wow, that a player" <Insert comment about how nobody is worth £41m> Can see why they’ve gone for him. Fits the Pep build. Very good on the ball, technically very good and (unlike Stones) he can defend a bit as well. Don’t think he’s a really top-end centre half on what I’ve seen, and also don’t know about the balance between him and Laporte. Assume that’ll be the first choice pairing and it’s a bit lightweight for me. Maybe I’m old fashioned but you don’t see too many Premier League title winning sides without a dominant CB (VVD, Kompany, Vidic, Terry, off the top of my head). Even Pep’s most successful teams in other countries have tended to have a strong presence at centre-half even though he’s obviously needed them to play as well.
