HighworthOwl
With Reading also recently under a transfer embargo surely they are not in a position to throw cash around. They have also just signed Lucas Boye (striker) on a season long loan from Torino.
Guest LittleG
They haven't got the funds to buy him unless they're after a loan deal. If that's the case we should tell them to do one.

You can’t say that about any of our other strikers can you? He has a bit of everything, but something is wrong mentally with him as he just doesn’t do it often enough does he... TheEnchanter
In this market he's worth £6-8M but I've no confidence that we'd get that so can't see us selling him. If he does stay then we have to use his attributes to our advantage. if he goes it'd free up some money to really refresh the squad by bringing in Hector and maybe 1-2 other good quality players. Maybe loans. I think it's more important to do the latter but we'll see how Chansiri analyses it. With time running out in the transfer window and no manager I'd imagine we'd keep Joao. Beauchief Owl
Strange how the first we hear of the Reading interest is on the day before we play them. Coincidence or conspiracy?

outlaw pete
To be fair last season Joao had a very good game at Reading and scored two very nice goals. So I am not surprised Reading are looking at buying him, but I doubt they have any cash spare to buy him.

Bluesteel
Not sure they will have the cash but I suppose a fee would be spread over the contract 3/4 years. Makes sense that he probably fancies a move to London(ish) and he played well against them last season. Just make sure they pay the going rate. oh_weds_we_love_you
Has everything I'd want in a forward, but lacks consistency and, at times, application. Even though we have plenty of forwards, Joao is one we'd need to replace as he offers the obvious attributes none of the others do.
