edinburghowl
Comfortable for Celtic. Rangers have panicked and spent £7m on Ryan Kent last night. He’s a decent player but that alone is not going to close the gap. Taylor is a good signing for Celtic and adds depth at left back. There were protests at Tynecastle after another disgusting result with us drawing at home with Accies and Levein still refuses to stand down. It’s going to get very nasty if we don’t beat Motherwell but it has gone way beyond that even if we win that game. There’s a poll on Kickback the Hearts forum and over a thousand fans (92% of those taking part in the poll) want him removed as Head Coach. He simply has to go as Tynecastle is poisonous right now. Hopefully Levein gets chopped sooner than Heckingbottom at Hibs who will be out the door soon too. Hibs fans are equally unimpressed. And if the Scottish authorities ignore Rangers fans songbook and behaviour again after the game at the weekend that is a joke. UEFA are happy to sanction them and call them out but the silence in Scotland is deafening. Edited September 3, 2019 by edinburghowl

Scottish Football needs a strong Hearts and if truth be told I feel sorry for CL that his managerial career is ending on a low note.
Groundhopping Owl
Must say I'm surprised at how poor Hibs have been, thought Hecky had done a good job in his spell last season and then added some real quality in the summer. Not being based in Edinburgh atm can anybody add any insight on where exactly it's going wrong for both sides? Or would "everywhere" suffice as an explanation?

Not being based in Edinburgh atm can anybody add any insight on where exactly it's going wrong for both sides? Or would "everywhere" suffice as an explanation? There’s quite a few things wrong. Hearts in a nutshell: Poisonous atmosphere at games, Levein still being the Head coach, players low on confidence due to both these things, having a number of injuries to key players, we don’t have a decent keeper (all 3 are mediocre), defensive fragility/Berra in poor form, having to play shitebags like Clare in the middle of the park, not scoring enough goals from chances created. Our squad on paper should finish 3rd and our strongest starting XI (if we could ever play it) looks decent. It’s a good mix of young talented players and experienced pros. GK Pereira RB Smith CB Souttar CB Berra/Halkett LB Hickey CM Whelan CM Haring LM Mulraney/Walker AM Naismith RM Meshino ST Washington Hibs I actually think they are in a worse situation than us. We have some decent players but we aren’t getting results. Their squad is a lot weaker than last season and Hecky (Scott Allan aside) has signed a load of poo . We can turn it round. Personally I think Hibs are nailed on for bottom 6
Groundhopping Owl
As starting XIs go that's a pretty solid one, pretty obvious that Levein is badly underachieving now. Being as close as he is to the owner, is there actually any chance of him moving on though? Not sure there's an obvious replacement out there either, unless they look south of the border.

Adem Poric
Losing at home to Russia by only one goal has to be considered a good result for Scotland right now.
Beighton Owl 87
Their only hope of qualifying now is through the play offs they have already qualified for. Still not sure how that works though.

Losing is never a good result and especially not to a team like Russia. Our record in competitive games at Hampden was decent. They are the worst team we’ve lost to at home in 20+ years in a competitive fixture. Not surprised but disappointed

Not surprised but disappointed Some home truths from McGinn and Robertson in the interviews after the game. Looked woefully short up front with no one to come on and change it in attack. Nice of the coaches to bring out this book at 0-3 down. Perhaps do it before kick off next time lads eh?

Brillant stuff from Northern Ireland tonight. Really contained them first half but at times in second half they were just too good for us. Just couldnt live with them but not many could. We had 3 great chances.. 2 at 0-0 and 1 at 1.0. Who knows what would have happened if even one went in Ah well the Dutch away next!
NorfolkNChance
Looked a decent shout for a pen in your game second half Belfast? Germany stepped it up big time second half and looked great first 10 mins in which they scored
Adem Poric
Another very decent result for Scotland. Done well to keep Belgium to four, I was expecting at least six. Well done Scotland.
