My concern with Coleman is that he’s a good talker and Chansiri liked that in both Carlos and Bruce, he’s very personable. Which is fine if he also gets results as that’s what we need. But he has struggled recently.

How do you reckon Jos got the job if DC is easily influenced by a good talker? I suppose it helps nevertheless.

Have to say Coleman getting the job would be a concern for me as well.

It must've been the Tom Selleck/Burt Reynolds esque irresistible tash that got Jos the job WTF:lol

Coleman would be in already if he was taking over. These negotiations with Arsene Wenger are complicated...

You'd like to think so...

I can see a Hughton being a hard sell or someone that might take a while to convince (though I'd look elsewhere if it's taking that much convincing).

WIth Coleman...surely if he was the man, you'd just offer him a contract now?

think it was something about thick sideburns and facial hair back in the day, no gal could resist it lol:ghoulguy:

Back in those days I had the sideburns and facial hair, I don't remember having to fight them off with a big stick. I wonder what I was doing wrong.

I don't think Big Chans would play along with someone who was being difficult. I think he'd be very much of the attitude, like us fans, that if Hughton doesn't really want to be here then he can go swivel. I'm quite excited by who he will eventually get, because he clearly doesn't rate the usual merry-go-round of turdles.

Don't really want to drag the discussion back..but my Dad was Zola Budd's fancy piece..

When someone says they 'Don't really want to drag the discussion back...'

Then in fact they actually have no qualms at all about dragging the discussion back....

Your doing it again.

Did she chase him, or did he chase her? And did he ever catch her?

ps - Bored with the manager position.

Chris Coleman would be an absolutely abysmal appointment.

He's never achieved anything. Granted he did ok getting Wales to the Euro semi finals but that was a rather favourable route to the semi final and during that tournament they lost to what was an awful England side under Roy Hodgson.

His time at Sunderland was an absolute car crash. Granted he was walking into a difficult situation but he then proceeded to alienate the clubs top goal scorer (he left shortly after, only returning later that season to score the winner against Sunderland for Villa), he was able to wheel and deal a bit in January and bought in mostly rubbish and the interview with Aiden McGeady on Coleman's management style was very telling. Vague instructions and not addressing weaknesses in performances.

Out of all the names suggested, behind Zola he is the worst on the list and would be a shocking appointment.
