But Jos' tactics invite the opposition to score goals against us now, Milud.

On average, we're conceding almost 3 a game.

And Tufty played it cautiously last season because it was Jos' first game in charge, so he didn't know what to expect.

And there was no Coutts, nor was Norwood involved.

We're bob, Sire.

Bob as bob can be.

And twice as smelly.

These are my thoughts, the only slight positive is that they’re at home so fans could get on their back quick , but they’ll press us from the start regardless

I’d say if we weather the storm we have a chance of getting something, but we’re shipping goals all over the place and at any time

Has the potential to be a very depressing night. If they start battering us and get an early goal or two, I’m quickly turning off :ghoulguy:

I have a sneaky feeling it’s going to be a damn sight closer than some suggest , keep the faith

In spite of my portents of doom, ironically, with different tactics, we're capable of going there and winning.

We've got the fire power to do it.

They have to play the way they do, because they lack real quality up front.

They have to produce lots of chances even to score a modest amount of goals.

We don't, as was proven in the Hillsborough debacle a year ago.

We were horrendous in that game ... but still scored two goals.

But with Jos' tactics at the back we've no chance.

And frankly, how many teams at this level would have a chance playing that way?

In my opinion, not many.

We have the fire power? Have we suddenly signed a whole load of new players that I don’t know about ? Adthe , fletcher and joao are hardly the stuff of dreams are they .....

Neither are McGoldrick, Clarke and Little Willy, but it doesn't seem to hold United back.

2008 but bet nothing has altered much, that's what I loved.

Deja Vu though, only talking in the pub last week and saying we must return.

BTW I do live in Barnsley :tango:

Not much changed. A few of the pubs have changed owners and names, loads of new restaurants, and the place has more Eastern Europeans than indigenous folk now. Prices are feckin crazy, i.e. 15 Euros for a burger or fish'n'chips and just short of a fiver for a pint of Arthur. Down to about 22 watering holes now whereas when I first came here there were 53.

Born and lived in Thurlstone mesen, near Penistone.

Teck it easy dude and gizza shout if ye do decide to come over.

That's OK for you to say living in Wakefield.

Yes, you only get the same points, BUT this game is different from all others.

Bragging rights, relief or absolute devastation at work next day, for us Sheffielders.

At least you don’t live and work with loads of Leeds fans.

Quite right.

Our forwards are actually lethal.

The problem is, we don't create enough for them. Think we're second worst team in the Champ for chances created?

Look at Match of the Day / Premier League - even Kane and Aguero / Rooney back in the day, needed four or five chances to net one. But their teammates created enough that eventually they'd score.

It's the Jordan Rhodes scenario.

We never played him in his natural role - a shitliner who had a nack for dropping off his marker or finding the space much like Lineker did.

Our forwards have actually done an amazing job feeding off scraps.

If we actually attacked and made chances, they'd be wanted by Prem clubs.
