Dawson  -   6      One fumble first half otherwise OK ……….would like to see him come for the high ball a bit more

Palmer   -   6     Some good, some bad, vital clearance first half

Lees   -   6    Did OK, still not quite at his best

Thorniley   -   7    Very steady today

Penney  -   7    Occasionally caught out positionally which is probably because LB isn`t his natural position, but otherwise a very smooth follow up to his cracking debut

Bannan    -    7    Kept us ticking, looked a bit leggy today

Pelupessy   -   6    Did OK in patches, have seen him play much worse

Reach    -    5    Largely anonymous

Matias   -   6    Worked hard again, wasted a good chance with a poor finish

Joao    -    7    His goals get him an extra point, looked a little rusty

Nuhiu    -    3    Lumpen, leaden, ineffective, cant believe he played the full 90

Forestieri    -    7    Gave us some much needed tempo

OVERALL

Did just about enough against a very poor side, JL left it ludicrously late to make changes.........….it was crying out for FF at half time never mind 70 mins.

It was also crying out for Hutchinson for the last 15 mins

Dawson 6 - Dodgy handling, 1 great save.

Palmer 7 - Much improved last 2 games, brilliant headed clearance just before HT.

Lees 6 - Solid defensively, dodgy with the ball at his feet.

Thorniley 8 - MOTM for me looked like a regular.

Penney 7 - Solid performance

Pelupessy 6 - Did ok, nothing special.

Bannan 7 - Hard working as usual but his insistence on not clearing his lines gave away the corner for their goal, though his corners created the goals.

Reach 4 - Very quiet game, not his usual energy, too advanced up the pitch for me.

Matias 6 - Worked hard, but not much effect going forward.

Joao 7 - Not that effective in general play, but took his two chances & won the match.

Nuhiu 2 - Awful, nowhere near the required standard.

scrappy today but take the win. Thorniley and Penney for me with Penney edging it for me. Great foot in near the end.

Lees form a concern for me.

Too many players over playing when a simple pass or clearance sufficed. A great result though.

Whoever it was who made the last ditch tackle just after we went 2 v 1 up is my MotM.

That was Penney.

Dawson - 6 - Spilled one in the fist half but pulled off a great save before half time.

Palmer - 7 - incredible block on the line. Not the most talented but don't get some of the stick he gets on here.

Thorniley - 8 - MOM for me. Impressed with everything he did today.

Lees - 7 - Pretty solid but had an extra touch too many on occasions

Penney - 7 - Looks impressive coming forward and dealt well with Edwards who I was a bit worried about.

Joey - 7 - looking more competitive and misplaced less passes today

Bannan - 7- nearly lost his head in the first half. Usual energetic performance

Reach - 6 - Pretty quiet today. Looked to be lacking his usual spark

Matias - 7 - Worked hard again today. Could have scored with a bit more control and composure when 1 on 1.

Nuhiu - 5 - Poor game today. Looked like the Dave under Carlos rather than the rejuvenated Dave of last year.

Joao - 7 - took his goals well but gave the ball away a bit

Forestieri - 7 - Turned the game when he came on. The best player at the club

Fletcher - 6 - Not enough time on the pitch

Dawson 6 - some good saves but he needs to hang onto crosses better.

Palmer 6 - mixed bag but that clearance off the lean was brilliant. Better first half than second.

Lees 5 - I’m starting to buy into this theory that he needs an experienced organiser alongside him to be fully effective, the gaps in the back line are too big at present.

Thorniley 8 - MOTM, he was brilliant. Saved us after Dawson dropped the cross in the first half, dealt with everything that came his way.

Penney 7 - massively encouraging, he’s so assured with and without the ball. Nearly laid on a terrific goal for Bannan.

Pelupessy 6 - could see the value of his busy work in midfield today.

Bannan 7 - remains our fulcrum and maintains a brilliant work rate.

Reach 4 - the formation doesn’t suit him, with the full backs and attacking wingers there was no room for him to drift wide.

Matias 6 - did the Forestieri role of pressing the back four well, didn’t get much time with the ball at his feet.

Nuhiu 4 - I’ve seen worse performances but he was definitely under par.

Joao 8 - excellent way to celebrate a new contract, two goals and a constant threat.

Bannan was good as always, thorniley solid.

Lees is beginning to scare me

Full backs steady

Reach ran around a lot but did next to nothing football wise.

Joao has been out for 3 weeks and played as though he’d been out for 3 weeks

Nuhiu - big no no I’m afraid

Matias - 2 games in a week looked to have killed him
