Owl Be Back Posted May 1, 2018 Share Posted May 1, 2018 We may not be in a position to off Venancio a contract - ie, his club may not be interested in selling and may only have loaned him to build up experience. Agree with the list - Loovens and Wallace have been great servants for the club and it will be nice to see them leave on good terms and while they are still very well thought of by most of the fanbase rather than outstaying their welcome and the relationship souring. Besides which, he's still probably our best left back. That in itself might not say much for the others but it's a versatility that will come in handy over a long season. The mentions for Hirst and Clare . Factually correct no doubt but more about making sure any confused fans are aware that the club have done their bit. No surprises with Loovens. Pretty sure the wage we save there will end up going towards a package to try and secure Venâncio on a full time agreement. Sad to see Wallace go. Timing is probably right. Do wonder if this means we're going to retain the wingback formation? If not then it does leave us short of goals in the midfield areas. Perhaps Jos has already got someone lined up.
