snaykz
Sheffield Wednesday can announce the club’s retained list ahead of the conclusion of the 2017/18 season. Daniel Pudil has signed a new one-year contract, while Glenn Loovens, Ross Wallace and Jake Kean will leave Hillsborough following the expiry of their current deals. Contract offers have been made to Atdhe Nuhiu, Sean Clare, George Hirst, Dan Wallis, Warren Clarke and Jack Lee. Loan agreements for Jacob Butterfield and Frederico Venancio end following the Owls’ final game of the campaign against Norwich City on Sunday. Sheffield Wednesday would like to thank each of the departing players for their services and wish them well for the future. https://www.swfc.co.uk/news/2018/may/owls-announce-201718-retained-list/ Edited May 1, 2018 by snaykz

Tea Baggins
Right decision for me. Pudil deserved his extension. Rest have had their time.

areNOTwhatTHEYseem
I'm happy with that. Loovens and Wallace will be fondly remembered for the parts they played, particularly in our two playoff seasons (though Loovens was crucial to steadying the ship long before then, too). Pudil still has plenty to offer at centre back and as an experienced head around the dressing room, and hopefully Nuhiu signs his contract as soon as possible now that he's found his goalscoring touch under Luhukay's canny management. Onwards and upwards!

0114
Loovens has to be one of the best free signings we have made. He came into a horrendous team fighting relegation in the middle of the season and was fantastic and to go to captain us through 2 play off seasons he’s been immense. Unfortunately age has caught up with him but what a great signing that was. 4
