Jos Luhukay explains Almen Abdi's absence

Recommended Posts

Purely hypothetical, but:

According to transfermarkt, Abdi cost us £3.24m, joining us at the end of July 2016. That's approximately 84 weeks he's been at this football club. Assuming wages of £30k p/w, that means we have spent a total of £2.52m on wages. Combined with his transfer fee, that's £5.76m. He's played 903 minutes of league first team footie for us (according to soccerway).

That gives us an expenditure of £6378 per minute of football Abdi has played.

To be honest it hasn't changed anything. He's had abdi in the squad/bench for the last few games and hasn't brought him on when we've been crying out for him, so being out makes no difference. Yes, turns out he's another wage waster but I don't have confidence in Jos using him or his squad fully anyway. Sorry.

So... you all know how this occurred right? Please spare us the "hilarity" and just keep to simple facts

Apparently he's seen an "eye doctor" - people generally don't go to an ophthalmologist because they have an eyelash in their eye

Of course you're all aware that eye injuries can cause people to lose their sight. Right?

Of course he should just ignore specialist advice and just crack on
