For her history of downsizing Championship clubs into League One?

Perhaps more for how she helped the club get £7.5M + add ons for a 19-year-old League One player. Perhaps why there have been significant developments with our academy contracts of late?

No punishment is off the table by the looks of it " the Football League are now able to impose a points deduction during the current season, or demote a club from an automatic promotion position into the play-offs (or out of the play-offs altogether)."

With financial submissions for this season due today to the FL and the chances of you being below the £39m limits slim, to say the least, an embargo might be the least of your woes.

Tbf a Leeds fan would know all about financial mismanagement.

In 2015-16 Huddersfield had half our revenue and an operating loss of around £10M but they made the majority of this back on player sales. Only 1 club made a profit that season. Brighton had heavier losses than us. I don't think many clubs do manage OK with it at the moment to be honest.

Brighton built a new stadium, train station and training centre for most of those losses.

So, excluded from FFP.

Both them and Hudders had local fans as owners with 50 years footy experience between them.

We have a nice guy but who lets his 10 year old son spend £10 million on a player Carlos didn't want.

And because of crap contract clauses, we can't afford to play half of our senior players.

so if we spunk about £50m on players this summer and get promoted nowt will happen (a bit like qpr...bournemouth etc) and even if we get a fine chansiri will just pay it cus 'money is not an issue and he will pay whatever it takes'

dont see the big problem really

No punishment is off the table, yet what punishment have they ever imposed?

Ah well

Happy Anniversary

BRING ON THE SPAFFING!!

In all seriousness, I listened to a podcast on how the Guinness World Records work, and it sounds like this cake may have cost the club quite a bit to orchestrate.

Guinness Worlds Records is more a PR company than a "worlrd record" company. Organisations pay them to make up a record, they send down a judge to certify this record, etc. and the organisation gets some publicity out of it.

Sheffield Wednesday have published their annual accounts, revealing a loss of £20 million for the year.

That figure is up by £11 million from last year.

The club lost £20,726,000 for the year up to May 2017, compared to £9,659,000 in 2016.

Accounts are absolutely appalling. Significance loss in financial year, creditors within 1 year and creditors after 1 year.

It doesn’t look good. We are effectively insolvent carrying aging crocks on big contracts.

We need to be ruthless in the summer, release the out of contract players and try and get rid of a few with Rhodes at the top of the list. Reduce that wage bill and introduce 3 players from the under 23’s, I.e. Clare, Hirst and Thorniley.

Yet we buy Rhodes for an ungodly some on ungodly waged when we didnt need him anyway.

Wolves are in year 1 so no sweat.

Plus they bought 2 players for £25 million and Arsenal bid £40 million for just one of em recently.

Like Wanderers, maybe we should ask an agent to buy us ,also to showcase their clients.

Doyen anyone?
