In all seriousness, I listened to a podcast on how the Guinness World Records work, and it sounds like this cake may have cost the club quite a bit to orchestrate. Guinness Worlds Records is more a PR company than a "worlrd record" company. Organisations pay them to make up a record, they send down a judge to certify this record, etc. and the organisation gets some publicity out of it.
