I’m very angry tonight

Our football has been crap this past few months

The atmosphere has been resigned to this rather than toxic

The abuse from a minority has been rightly condemned by the majority who have been constructive in their criticism

DC should not address the whole of the fanbase in this regard.

Milan Mandaric would never have put out the statement that Chansiri did

Dave Allen would have

That's all anyone needs to know

I agree Chansiri can do what he wants with the club as he has total ownership

He's also free to stoke, incite or enrage the fanbase if his actions aren't in line with the well-being of the club.

Chairmen come and go.  A club and its pact with its fans is forever.

But Carlos hasn't seen that

He's not on social media

Perhaps Neil, but I think he probably heard some of the personal vitriol shouted at him from the stands. And some of it was grotesque tbf. DC has also had similar stuff shouted at him as he sat in the directors box, witnessed by his family. We've all seen this stuff before and it's not pleasant is it. I think DC is hurting, hence the rant. We might make a Wednesday fan out of him yet!

Happy Christmas by the way.

*sighs*

Viscous circle springs to mind.

I thought it it was a poorly thought out statement, but I’m not entirely convinced that it was the massive f u to the fans that the op would have us believe.

Just get the sense that there’s a small few on here who want to dust the cobwebs off the black balloons.

Sorry to hear you think my O/P is drivel

What I'm saying is that the stuff being thrown around today/tonight about social media posts having any impact on Carlos leaving is a total smokescreen

I'm staggered you overlooked the long long list of issues at the club this season by the way

I don't understand why you'd do that

Ps - Merry Christmas to you too mate - have  a brilliant one

Just to clear things up I have to say that I agree that CC left due to issues on the pitch and not with social media issues.

All I'm saying that I have yet to see where DC has unfairly criticised the fans.

This whole smokescreen about the Wednesday family and Carlos and Chansiri being abused on the internet

Its made me really angry

I knew early this morning Carlos had gone and have been in the cinema and restaurant all day and night so not been online much

As a result have had time to reflect on the nonsensical rant that our Chairman delivered in the early hours, knowing it was a precursor to Carlos leaving

To even try and suggest our fans have had any part to play in Carlos leaving is an absolute disgrace to me and total bull

The blaming of fans for a toxic atmosphere at the club is simply unbelievable and I’m not buying it

Our fans this season have been the most patient tolerant and understanding fans a struggling Manager could ever have wished to have on their side

To then even mention them when parting company with the Manager is nothing short of scandalous

what should have happened is the chairman should have explained that the manager and Club have parted company, wished Carlos well )because he  is a top guy, and thanked fans for their ongoing support

Instead we get a tirade that seems to suggest that the chairman is genuinely shocked that fans would be unhappy with what’s happened this year at the club.

Its not the fans fault that we are where we are in the league

In fact we have struggled DESPITE top class support Home and Away

Its not our fault the stripes are not on the shirts of Sheffield Wednesday

Its not our fault players are injured despite the entire medical team being put out of work in the summer

It’s not our fault the players don’t play happy positive attacking football

its not our fault the kits were late and then out of stock

Its not our fault the anniversary pre season games didn’t materialise

Its not our fault that the shirt sizes have changed to some random sizes meaning loads of returns

It’s not our fault the anniversary watches were oversold and refunds and other items had to be offered instead

its not our fault that the exec boxes aren’t sold out

Irs not our fault that players are playing like they’re unhappy

It’s not our fault that fans are angry at being totally priced out of going to the matches

its not our fault that those who can afford to go are angry at the prices they are being asked to pay - we didn’t put the prices up

None is this season is the fault of ANY fan and it’s a disgrace to suggest so

Fans should not be taking this nonsense about it being any fault of the fans whatsoever never mind putting it forward as a reason to other fans

The whole thing is a total smokescreen

Dont believe the hype

We are better than that

Look at the league table, look at the ‘injuries’, look at how happy the players are despite their massive wages and then look at everything else that’s gone off at our club this season

Anyone suggesting the fans have been anything short of unbelievably patient and tolerant and fantastic needs to sit down in a quiet corner for a minute and look at the bigger picture instead of an angry rant from a Chairman who seems surprised that the fans would be miffed at paying massive ticket prices for the worst football since Gary Megsons last few weeks in charge

ANGRYMAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't see how it can be

There's been no protests, not mass demonstrations, nothing.

Carlos won't have seen anything on social media either as he isn't on it

It just is. We just disagree.

I'm not on Facebook or Instagram but I still hear what's going on the trash.

Carlos was well aware of things, that's what his staff are there for and they will no doubt be keeping him informed.

If you don't believe that you really have been early on the Snowballs....

Totally agree with every point .I've said for a while this could all end up very badly for us , I wish none of our clubs were owned by anyone other than fans or British owners , they have ruined our game , shame we cant have an owner like Steve Gibson what middlesbough have , he decides to sack monk and has a new man lined up as soon as he let monk go , can see chansiri leaving bullen in charge as a cost cutting exercise if it goes wrong we be in league 1 .I've got no faith that chansiri will get anything right , 1st thing he needs to do is get fans onside , and understand that freedom of speech is still allowed here .I think we have the most tolerant fans , I cant believe that the crowd aint turned much sooner , at some other clubs it would have got very nasty by now . The Middlesborough supporters on there channel said we are the most friendliest supporters they have met , chansiri take note.

Yeah I imagine there's been a bit of that

I would bet that at most clubs there would have been infinitely more as the results and performances have been recently dire.

Our fans have been amazingly tolerant and patient and maybe there's an argument to say that there should have been earlier protests before the recent results that effectively ended our season?

I dunno

All I know is that personally I'm angry tonight and angry that I'm angry on Christmas Eve

lol

I'm going to have a great morning tomorrow with my amazing children and chill out

But for now I'm fuming

Merry Christmas to you and yours mate too - have a great one!

Where do we go from here? The Norwich and Middlesborough defeats were horribly bad performances. And both featured 1-0 lucky halftime leads.

What happened to all the expounding about how the first goal changes games, if only we could get that first goal. We were annihilated by Norwich

and Boro. Of course Carlos walked. Come on DC, watch the highlights and notice that we never have the ball! It wasn't like that before. Time for

change, and now it's your job to steer the ship, so stop moaning and knuckle down 'cos now is a critical time and now we all rely absolutely on you.

Think Chansiri brought a football club as a bit of a vanity project. Get a club into the Premier League and everyone will love me and be singing my name.

Dont think he fully understood that if things dont go to plan some people are not shy of giving you a bit of stick.

Probably because he is that well off he is used to people bowing and scraping to him all the time and cant cope after spending millions he is not flavour of the month anymore. As a consequence he has thrown a strop and his statement was very badly written and cringeworthy.
